Nobody will ever know for sure what went on that night. If you've read Chuck and Matt Hughs books, they have a different interpretation of what happened that night. I used to be a fan of Tito's in the early days, and I'm sure he's not as bad a person as people make him out to be. He's a bad liar, you can tell when he's nervous or not being a 100% honest by his facial expressions and the way his voice breaks under pressure. When he talks about the Lee Murray incident, you can tell he's not being 100% honest. Every time Tito has lost a fight, there was always an excuse, (cracked skull, his knee, his back) he's seldom just manned up and accepted things.

He was dominant in an era where he could rely on his conditioning and ability to ground and pound most his opponents. On a technical level, he's evolved very little compared to other fighters. The highlight of his career was beating a 40+ year old Ken Shamrock in the twilight of his career. Frank Shamrock was considered the prototype of today's MMA fighter, when he faced Ortiz, he handed him his ass.Ever top 5 fighter that he's faced since, has exploited how one dimensional a fighter he is.

Being under pressure doesn't nessarily means he is lying but just well mean that the situation was a bit embarassing as he did atleast stumble and fall due to the hit and people are now saying he got KO'ed
