I don't think you can buy one and if you can it would be a "gamer" thing that you would have to make custom drivers for because you can't map an entire alphabet to 5 buttons. So you'd have button press combos to do it -- EITHER WAY I'm basically saying I don't know of anything that currently exists and I'm fairly knowledgeable about that type of thing. A good part of this anime is just made up crap anyways.

wut? chording keyboards are pretty damn common,

i seem to remember the bps one being based on a real type aswell

sure 5 keys only gives you 32 key combos, but if you say that 1 of them is a double switch, you get 6 keys,

, 6 possible states of on and off, wich is plenty (64 combos to be exact) if you want to do text input, even in japanese

i got myself a hand built 1 hand carriable chording keyboard with 8 buttons, enough for all of ascii, (256 possible combos)

well the nice thing about chording keyboards, especially the holdable ones is that you can type with 1 hand, and operate the mouse with 1 hand, not to mention, sevral designs include combos for mouse movements,

so you can operate a computer with 1 hand leaving the other free to do "other" things
