When I hear this song, I think of it describing two things...1) Unrequited Love and 2) That feeling you get when you KNOW your soulmate is out there, and you just haven't found each other yet, which is what I get from the lines "Distance can't take what is hidden here safe in my chest. I wait for the day when we finally say now or never. Till then I'll be here wanting more as I settle for atmosphere." I can also see how that can relate to a long distance relationship. :)
