What are the long term plans to expand the ISS even further?

Any plans for 50 or 100 years down the line?

Are there any plans to construct anything like such a Space Station as seen in 2001, A Space Odyssey?

I was 15 when that movie came out.

The ISS will be complete with a few more modules this time next year. Then it will stay as it is for another 10 years and be retired around 2020.

No further space station plans are in existence right now, but Bigelow Aerospace has a nice project going including "inflatable" space station modules.

Nothing with a big wheeling motion as in 2001 though. Nothing in our lifetimes, I'm afraid.

really? I thought it would be longer after 2020 =/ i can't believe the isss is already ten years old !! and we're still building it ! we need to hurry up ! and it will not be fully completed like it was supposed be when they first started building it in 1999.
