Technically, they don't really have Saikyou Ryuu. When you make a Kreate A Fighter, you get to pick what stance they use and you can name it whatever you want. However, this is just for show; you can pick and choose your own moves, including ones from a completely different fighting style.
In the case of Dan, I gave him the Shotokan stance and named it after his fighting style in Street Fighter.
It was the fighting style he used in the Street Fighter series. According to Wikipedia, it's Dan's own style of Ansatsuken merged with Muay Thai elements, and he ironically calls it "The Strongest Style".
I hate the way that grabbing punch (face eraser, which is his R1 move) makes them land on their stomach! He punches them in the face so their head goes FORWARDS as they move back!
None of the 'getting hit' reactions make sense, Ed Boon needs to watch some real fighting or just think about basic physics. I found a roundhouse to the ribs which flips them over aswell.
I've had Armageddon for at least three years now, and I never knew Bell Tower stage fatality existed in this game.

Yeah, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I like the way it looks compared to most of the other throws available for Kreate A Fighter.

o.O Yeah Ryu is the best, but Dan is no push over when played by a pro sf Player...so he's not useless...

I still have yet to see an effective Dan player on SF, though I have seen some pretty good Dans on MSHvSF and MvC2.
Personally, I'm a Dan fan, but I'll admit, while he's technically not useless, Dan is a pretty lousy character outside of the "Vs." series.
