I have a concern... Eye shadow, though usually never falls in your eye, in the case that it does and you have used one that you have mended, wouldn't the use of the surgical spirit/vodka cause the makeup to strongly burn your eye?

For US viewers Rubbing Alcohol is what we can use yes. It is used in dr's offices for cleaning surgical or other insturments and can very well be used in mending cosmetics. Check out my video on how to clean false eyelashes with alcohol.

@iMeWombat I don't think using mouthwash was the best thing to do, i assume mouthwash has a lot more chemicals and random components that don't evaporate. The trick is to use some liquid with a high % of alcohol because it evaporates quicker. Like rubbing alcohol, vodka, whiskey. I used regular rubbing alcohol and it worked just fine :)
