  • I've always used to chicken out on this one when i was little. this music video gave me the creeps and it was spooky too! but not anymore. i like it now!

  • this video will always creep me out... -.-

  • i love watchin this video!!!

    CUNTRYGIRL

  • I had the video when I was younger than 13 and loved watching it. Now I'm 27 and still love Ray Stevens. Even shared him resently with my 14 year old nephew.

Watching this though brought up a lot of memories of my grandparents. They both wanted to be brought home when they died even though we have funeral homes. Now instead of the church bringing folding chairs they do. And some still think you have to set up with the dead. I had an aunt who did because she said your couldnt leave them alone.

  • My guess is that the only dislike is the person who fell into the open grave!

  • LMBO, THIS IS MY FAVORITE RAY STEVENS SONG AND VIDEO

  • I am 18 now and my grandparents owned this VHS. My 3 older brothers and I would watch it whenever we went out to visit them. They knew all of the words to every song before I could even follow along. You gotta love Ray Stevens!

  • Rev that kitchen ain't got no door in it!

Don't worry son it will have in a minute!

  • im never gonna sit up with the dead cuz im just gonna send flowers

  • BILLY MAYS?

  • BILLY MAYS??

  • My grandfather died when my mom was 13 and they sat up with him ..It was his request however ..This was 1963 in North Carolina and while morticians did their work at the funeral home they would bring the body out if the family requested it ,, In fact they will still will ,though its more customary to have the wake at the funeral home or church ,, Now when my great great grandmother died around ,early 1930's the mortician came out to the home. My grandmother watched him do his work as a child.

  • "Might as well come over here and sit down beside me, boy, cuz you ain't gettin' out of here tonight."

    ...But I did.

  • one of if not the funniest ray stevens songs ever

  • @3:12 i've said to just about everyone i've met since i first heard this song.

  • so this is what Al Borland did after he left 'Tool Time'

  • BUT, I DID. XDDDDD

  • i said rev that kitchen aint got no door in it

he said dont worry son, it will have in minute

    i love that part

  • I wanna sing this for my skit night in chorus :D

  • "Ohhh I'm headin' out that Kitchen door! I hollered Rev that Kitchen ain't got no door in it! He said don't worry son it will have in a minute!"

I love this! Its one of the best!

  • LOL...Right about 2:00ish, does anyone else think the preacher looks like a younger Paul Crouch??? LOL

  • I haven't seen this video since I was like 8!! My aunt has the old VHS...we used to watch these videos over and over and crack up...great memories =D

  • I can rember my dad playing all of ray stevens songs when I was like 5 years old. And now I am almost 20 and my dads been gone for 10 to 15 years now (r.i.p.) and these all are my fav's.

  • @TrollingID5911 I gotta agree with ya! But the way he was runnin when he fell in the grave was funny as shit!

  • "Rev that kitchen ain't got no door in it, Oghh Don't worry son there will be in a minute" the funniest part of this whole vid lmao!!

  • God - This is funny.

  • "But I did."

    ROFLROFLROFL!!!!

the creepy smile on Uncle Fred's face at 1:17....

  • I've seen the man who played Uncle Fred in this video, in many Jim Varney movies...

  • @catlover75 what movies did the guy who played uncle fred?? what movies did he play in?

  • @alishadtaylor He played in Earnest goes to camp, and Earnest goes to jail, and many other Earnest movies...plus you can catch uncle fred in Ray Steven's music video of the Shriner's convention..he's not hard to miss being small and skinny! :)

  • Oh my God, me too. I used to be terrified of it; it gave me nightmares.

  • If anyone knows the Branson crew, Uncle Fred looks like Joey Riley in make-up to have him seem older..just a guess...

  • OH RAY I WISH I COULD MEET YOU!!

    He's TOOOOOO FUNNY!!!

  • Ray Stevens is one of the great ones for funny videos.

  • definaltely going in my favorites!!

  • OMG that was funny! Somone recommended this to me, and now I have to watch all of Ray Stevens' stuff. I like how the Preacher bust a hole in the wall to escape. You'd think he would be equipped to deal with something like that.

  • @Nokliri Nah, I am 13.

  • @Nokliri Actually, my parents introduced this to me and my siblings when I was 5, so there were 5 others to join you! :D

  • @Nokliri I can't remember how old I was when I started watching Ray Stevens but I was definitely younger than 13, so you're not alone! I'm 21 now and I still remember every word! So hilarious.

  • @bronzesparrow Got you beat. My aunt used to own this VHS tape when I was around 9 or 10, and the whole family LOVED it. Now...I'm 34. *grin*

  • @Nokliri Nah. I watched these when I was that age & younger. And years later, here I am still enjoying it. :)

  • Hilarious! Anybody got Harry the Hairy Ape?

  • cute

  • This is a good video, but when i used to watch this as a kid, that shot of the dead guy with his eyes open and smiling used to always scare me. I'd always close my eyes. But this is one of my favorites.
