I had the video when I was younger than 13 and loved watching it. Now I'm 27 and still love Ray Stevens. Even shared him resently with my 14 year old nephew.

Watching this though brought up a lot of memories of my grandparents. They both wanted to be brought home when they died even though we have funeral homes. Now instead of the church bringing folding chairs they do. And some still think you have to set up with the dead. I had an aunt who did because she said your couldnt leave them alone.

I am 18 now and my grandparents owned this VHS. My 3 older brothers and I would watch it whenever we went out to visit them. They knew all of the words to every song before I could even follow along. You gotta love Ray Stevens!

My grandfather died when my mom was 13 and they sat up with him ..It was his request however ..This was 1963 in North Carolina and while morticians did their work at the funeral home they would bring the body out if the family requested it ,, In fact they will still will ,though its more customary to have the wake at the funeral home or church ,, Now when my great great grandmother died around ,early 1930's the mortician came out to the home. My grandmother watched him do his work as a child.
