  • had the HONOR of seeing him 5-6 xs back in new york and meet him 2xs....what a GREAT MAN he was...and a sweet sweet person too talk too.....

RIP my friend...i will ALWAYS learn from you...

  • @XDBBC .. i was fortunate enough to see him play at iridium about 3 years ago... if you look at 3:25 you'll see a grey haired fellow right by his feet... that was where the hostess seated me that night. i could have reached out and touched his foot... what an evening!

i met him after the show, and got his autograph on a CD of his music i'd bought there... and you are right, he was an exceptionally friendly, charming, and gentle man. i'll treasure that memory for the rest of my life...

  • R.I.P. Les Paul.

  • LOL....a 91 year old sweep-picking (and playing very nicely too)!

    Respect due!

  • @Hologhoul We owe modern recording and rock music to Les Paul. 90% of the equipment in a modern recording studio was created by Les.

  • There will never be another Les Paul but I wish ny Dad could get to meet him and play a tune with him ! Ray Cummins heard my Dad and liked what he heard said it was like Les Paul ! It is too ! Mixed with Chet and his own style !
