A pro-life counselor sounds like a great idea b/c we have pro-choice counselors. Women should be allowed to have information from an array of sources so that they can make the best decision for themselves.
A pro-choice/pro-life counselor is not going to tell you everything out there that might be of interest to you, just wte is going to fit their agenda.
I would consider a pro-lifer to be much more biased than a pro-choicer. Maybe I am biased because I'm pro-choice, but a pro-choice person isn't going to tell you that you're a murderer if you choose to have an abortion. A pro-lifer WILL. A pro-choicer will tell you about ALL the options so you can make the CHOICE that's right for you. That's what it's all about--not pushing abortions on people who don't want them.
A pro-life counselor who is all serious and professional would not use tactics like calling the mother a murderer. This is not necessary.
A professional P-L will have the ability to inform the woman of what the P-C are not going to inform her of would put forth effort to evade the gambits that the P-L use on the streets which are designed to hit soft spots and rise people.
Abortion IS pushed on women. No woman who feels uncertain about abortion should be allowed to have 1.
A pro-choice counselor's job is to inform the woman of ALL her choices, not just make her feel like she should get an abortion. I'm not saying there aren't biased people out there; of course there are, but a true counselor who is really pro-choice will just say "here are your options...here are the pros and cons of each...take your pick." A pro-lifer will say "here's why you shouldn't have an abortion." It doesn't hurt to hear all the arguments I agree, but that's a P-C's job: all the options.
A pro-choice counselor's job is to inform the woman of ALL her choices....yeah, they do.....$, credit card, or debit.
Obviously a P-L is not going to push abortion. A P-L counselor would be their at the woman's request to encourage her in choosing life for her baby and helping aid her in options like adoption or programs like WIC that can help her if she is having financial problems.
Solutions can be found & abortion doesn't have to be the answer. Most women do regret it.
Have you ever spoken to a P-C counselor? Can you back up your comments that a P-C is that biased? I know that P-L's are biased because they offer only one decision. P-C's are supposed to be neutral. A P-L is going to push the woman to keep the baby, so it's equally biased. Many women also regret giving their children up for adoption, but that doesn't mean we outlaw adoption, or try to prevent people from giving up their children for adoption.
I've read quite a few stories where women claim that they were not informed about their abortions and that they were discouraged from changing their minds to have an abortion & made to feel that their abortion was not personal...it was just a procedure...like the piece of you being taking away was like getting a hair trim at the salon.
P-L understand that women are scared and feel unable to provide for their baby, which is why P-L offer help to care for their baby not kill them.
A woman may regret her adoption but at least she won't have to live with the horror that she is responsible for the death of her child.
At least there is a chance that she could be re-united or set up the adoption that would keep her in contact with her child. You can't hug your dead baby 18 years latter.

At least 3 dozen times (and probably much more than that) God refers to an unborn child as a baby or infant, but never a fetus. If a woman aborts a child, she'll need to explain to God why that verse doesn't apply to her.

BOTH lives are important, one is not more important than another either way. BOTH lives should be considered, the woman can make her own choices and speak for herself.
The unborn baby on the other hand cannot, so SOMEONE must speak/defend them, if the mother in question will not.
The day we can ask the unborn if they want to live or die, is the day I will say no more against abortion.

A pro-life counselor sounds like a great idea b/c we have pro-choice counselors. Women should be allowed to have information from an array of sources so that they can make the best decision for themselves.
A pro-choice/pro-life counselor is not going to tell you everything out there that might be of interest to you, just wte is going to fit their agenda.

I would consider a pro-lifer to be much more biased than a pro-choicer. Maybe I am biased because I'm pro-choice, but a pro-choice person isn't going to tell you that you're a murderer if you choose to have an abortion. A pro-lifer WILL. A pro-choicer will tell you about ALL the options so you can make the CHOICE that's right for you. That's what it's all about--not pushing abortions on people who don't want them.

A professional P-L will have the ability to inform the woman of what the P-C are not going to inform her of would put forth effort to evade the gambits that the P-L use on the streets which are designed to hit soft spots and rise people.
Abortion IS pushed on women. No woman who feels uncertain about abortion should be allowed to have 1.

I'm not saying there aren't biased people out there; of course there are, but a true counselor who is really pro-choice will just say "here are your options...here are the pros and cons of each...take your pick." A pro-lifer will say "here's why you shouldn't have an abortion." It doesn't hurt to hear all the arguments I agree, but that's a P-C's job: all the options.

Have you ever spoken to a P-C counselor? Can you back up your comments that a P-C is that biased? I know that P-L's are biased because they offer only one decision. P-C's are supposed to be neutral. A P-L is going to push the woman to keep the baby, so it's equally biased. Many women also regret giving their children up for adoption, but that doesn't mean we outlaw adoption, or try to prevent people from giving up their children for adoption.

I've read quite a few stories where women claim that they were not informed about their abortions and that they were discouraged from changing their minds to have an abortion & made to feel that their abortion was not personal...it was just a procedure...like the piece of you being taking away was like getting a hair trim at the salon.
P-L understand that women are scared and feel unable to provide for their baby, which is why P-L offer help to care for their baby not kill them.
