Duke's death scene deserved so much more attention, in my opinion. Duke was an amazing character who really could have shaped Fritz for the remainder of this film, especially after Duke's murder, and I feel like they could have done so much more with it...but once he dies, I don't know, it's like a little bit of the spirit of the film dies with him. :'c And then they fucked his voice over in the next film. The whole point is that it is a commentary of the social and political climate of the time (late '60s early '70s). The world WAS racist/free love/drugs and riots. Don't condemn the movie, learn from it. If we do not learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. For those of us who were there, it's a reminder of how bad things were and a beginning of the civil rights movement. For the future generations, it should serve as a link to that segment of our history.

Ralph B metitions {in one of his interviews i think} that the crows were like in dumbo and the pig officers{that he voiced} are based on Heckle and Jeckle.. i like Ralph's work and Don bluth's stuff {don bluth is funding for a dragon's lair movie...and Ralph Bakshi is working on The Last Days Of Coney Island}
