VFR750s have a great torque curve, which is why it smoked a larger, more powerful bike in this video. However, the VFR would lose out once the speeds started climbing in the 3 digit range.
I can tell exactly why the gixxer got smoked like that, he was looking at the VFR while launching and the VFR was looking straight ahead concentrating on one thing, racing.

Holy shit.... both of those bikes sound awesome. I'm guessing it's the VFR that sounds the best though, because my SV1K with aftermarket pipes sound nice, but nowhere near as nice as the sound in this clip.
Man got damn, I know what I just witness a 750 serving a 1000. watch as many times as you like. And i own a k1 600 gsxr with just 1000 header shorty m4 can ecu work. 1000 didn't make any ground up as far as the video shows just sadd man. put it up and rebuild
I have a 1996 VFR 750 Engine setting In My living room but It tipped over because I was trying to get the front door un jammed & the ceiling collapsed tipping It over on Its side but the Ninja 500 & Magna 750 Engines did Not tip over I Am going to have to set the VFR 750 Engine back, I think the reason It tipped over was because It had a box with stuff In It setting on top of It giving leverage to a collapsing ceiling.

i have a gsxr1000 k2 it will run 160 easy 4 th gear so who gives a fuck beause very few people will ever go that fast on two wheels but i did.

It's all about the torque. As low as 2,000 rpm you have smooth constant punching power all the way to redline.
