PS4 isn't coming for a long time yet. Do you remember the whole point of PS3? It was the first console designed with longevity in mind. Both the PS1/2 lasted ten years due to popularity and programmers stretching their capabilities in later games. PS3 was DESIGNED to last and evolve over 10 years, the programmers have only just figured out how to write for 6 processors, 3D, integrating active updates, etc. If Sony are set to release a PS4, I'll think them missing a trick(not to mention revenue)

In my oppinion the PS4 should be a add-on to the PS3. something that connects to the PS3 and makes the profomance boost jump for 1080p native games, and top of the line frame rates.. aswell as another hard drive in the attachment, more usb ports, and thats basically all we need. design soemthing that slots and connects the ps3 and makes it a ps4. that way. people that already have ps3 wont feeel ripped off. and also ppl that wnat ps4 have to buy a ps3, so sony wont loose out.

I don't understand why so many people post so many things about the "Playstation 4" - Sony OFFICIALLY announce that the Playstation 3 has a 10 year lifespan and they do not plan on announcing anything at E3 or in 2012 for that matter. Rumours and speculation have suggested that Sony may leave the gaming community altogether. Though the latter is unlikely do to revenue and profit that could be obtained. But even as a true Sony Playstation fan, the truth is the Xbox leads the way in gaming now. :(

Secondly, if Microsoft pulls out the next Xbox Sony will have to release the PS4 very short after it if it doesn't want to loose as it did with this generation sales wise. And I wouldn't be surprised to see the next Xbox later next year.
