since his death, i've continuously to get goosebumps whenever i see videos of JPII. After his beatification, I get choked just listening to testimonies from different people about their encounters with Saint JPII

I could never forget this day. The video and the song still sends me chills. I woke up just in time to see the Pope say his last mass, all the way to boarding his plane. I was just a kid then, not realizing the impact of his visit a few years after, but there was a foreboding sense of sadness that was felt by everyone who witnessed it, on location and on live television.

@MrMiguelE Pope John Paul II spoke all the major languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French, German). He also spoke Polish and Latin and a whole lot more. I think Chinese is the only thing he didn't speak.

I'll never forget what I did that day... i was like 7 or 8 years old that time. I was watching the news at that time about the departure of the Pope's plane. And as the cameraman on the news focused the plane as it took off, I climbed to our rooftop to catch a glimpse of the plane over the distance as it gained altitude.

I remember this day, and all of the World Youth Day 1995 celebration so well. I was only 6 years years old then. I remember this day especially because my dad was the one who towed the Pope's plane for departure to Papua New Guinea.

I love and miss Pope John Paul II. He was a very heartwarming and lovable pope. The song, accompanied by the video of the pope leaving the Philippines for the last time made me teary-eyed.
