I like your approach. You will find an oscilloscope to be useful in your research. When your meter was "bouncing" it was seeing a wave, as voltage was changing with time and going both positive and negative. Also you need to monitor whats happening at a few more points. Using Niklas work and recreating is the correct way. JP Morgan pulled his funding cause you can't make money from free, think he was short sighted.

'Man out of time' a book on tesla showed at the end of his life he realized electricity can be understood as mv-squared and that 'voltage' etcetera hamper understanding and hence usefulness of e. I found that the FMMC Meter (now digital displays) measured CONDUCTANCE and not voltage nor amperage. + R= rL/A is wrong and R = A/L is the truth. Sadly, Tesla's technique was doomed to failure - he forgot to include the loss in sending energy through the earth's crust. It would be difficult to maintain a resonance because of the damping factor.

u are forgetting resonance of a conductor and then a high voltage, high voltages dont conform to the resistance because they travel through it quite well. abut 95 percent efficient world wide because of the high voltage and resonant conditions of the earth, make sure you understand that! i have gotten 20 ft transmission and i am only using about 1000v to 5000 v which is really nothing! once you hit high voltages above 500,000 volts resistance changes. the wardenclyffe was never a failure!

High voltage are necessary because of high resistance. But, the power lost in the medium is still high. The resistance may change nonlinearly, but it will still require expending power into the media, which is loss, not to mention the broadcast nature (your antenna only sees a fraction of the transmitted power). The use of wires is still way more efficient and point-point, but our grid still loses a lot of power (conversion to heat) over them. You can't claim 95 percent efficiency.

I think even Tesla realized it wasn't going to work. He worked on this for years, had a big budget, and even he couldn't pull it off. So just saying we don't know the full nature of energy is a desperate argument. We know a lot more about resonance - it's nothing magical, it doesn't give you any more energy, it's just that you can input small amounts of energy over time to build up to a large amount. It's like a flywheel, but you still have to spend energy to pump it.

actually yes he did pull it off. BUT contrary to popular belief it had very little to do with resonance. His wireless system was a PURE DC system. No current reversals. Giant impulses of DC voltage to produce "electric rays" (most likely cathode rays). Many of his patents show vacuum tubes emitting cathode rays. Resonance was only used to build up voltage and nothing more.

That's a good guess. Sometimes it is hard to determine what exactly Tesla was trying to do, his notes were somewhat vague and speculative. You get the impression he is trying to do several things at once with an apparatus, send messages, power, just make pretty sparks, always a work in progress, never finished. yes first input power from high frequency generator to a high voltage transformer, now feed this into a capacitor to give very fast impulses to a primary coil, this primary system is in resonance to bring the most efficient and powerful impulse to be delivered to the secondary, secondary gets the high current field and now becomes even more high voltage at the frequency of the capacitor discharge into the circuit, now this high frequency voltage is in further resonance with the earth conductor

If Electrostatic waves moved faster than light the wave would be recieved before it was sent. This would make energy free because if you transmitted an electrostatic wave you would recieve it before it was transmitted, therefore when you recieved the wave you could cancel the transmission and just harvest the energy recieved instead. If you go faster than the speed of light, it doesn't mean that it would be received before its sent. Light isn't instantaneous transmission of photons, they take time to travel. Furthermore, induction waves such as the ones made by tesla coils, transfer electricity nearly instantaneously because it is as though the medium was to be supplying the electricity to the load, not just a transfer from the coil.

The earth is in fact a giant capacitor. We have the ground as one plate & the ozone layer or ionosphere as the second plate. The atmosphere is the dielectric. I am not trying to demise Tesla in anyway, but this idea only works over a short distance and would not of powered the world with free energy as nice as that would be, the reason is due to the Inverse Square Law which would have meant using tremendous power just to get maybe just a few miles and would have been very uneconomical and unusable in practice, the Inverse Square Law cannot be altered as sad as that maybe.

Hi You say it doesn't follow the Inverse Square Law if you set experiment up like the Tesla coil and a light bulb, the bulb lights up in a given distance, you then move the bulb further away, it goes dim, you turn up the power in your coil, the bulb gets bright again,if you measure the extra input to distance you will see it take 4 times the power to relight the bulb,Inverse Square Law.

We did this when I was 16 since then Iv been a Radio Ham for about 40 years, its just watts from Radio Waves.

You are looking at it the wrong way. Tesla was using a high voltage pulsed charge to resonate the ionosphere. We are surrounded by charged layer known as the ionosphere. This layer is always charged by solar radiation to the point where it is discharging 44 times every second somewhere on the planet. If you cause this charge to resonate it cannot easily discharge because as the dielectric (air) ionises the resonate frequency goes negative reducing the potential and preventing full discharge.

Because data is transmitted over radiowaves. Air is one of the worst conductors of electricity just like if you would want to transmit electricity through rubber. Also transmission over air wouldn't be controlled and could be dangerous. However, I understand your thought process and it is a great idea, and it is possible. Just surious... how would utilities be able to meter this poweronce it enters the air? Couldn't anybody use this power that had a transmitter once it was available without paying for it? there are alot of other ways to make money on the system if thats what you intended to do. selling resonant antennas, charging people at the recieving antennas(magnifying recievers) just like a power grid,charging services for instalation, selling wireless vehicles like cars with just a motor, battery, and computer system for "subscription". there are ways to maintain an economy, you got to think alittle differently. you can always go economic, or you could make it free by natural resources!

I read somewhere that when JP Morgan sponsored construction of the transmission tower at Wardenclyffe for Tesla, and he learned that Tesla was aiming to transmit electrical power wirelessly, Morgan realised there would be no way he could meter the consumption. It is suggested that this is the reason Morgan stopped the project. Sounds plausible. Good video too. Thanks.

Based on this info, I've been able to replicate (as close as I could manage from copies of the original patent docs) this device to some degree of success. The "transmitter" was placed on a hill, using multi-stepping from a car battery. We then received high oscillation voltage 35km (yes thirty five) away but the amps are far too low. With some modifications over the next few days, my team may be able to solve this. In fact, I believe it really is possible, judging by this afternoon's results.
