I changed out 6 lamps underneath the catwalk on the IBM Tower in Atlanta. It toped out at 582'. My first experience on a crane....
When he made pics or the trolly rolled by... You can't imagine...
It was mounted to the structure. When they removed it with a copter. A photographer in the copter took pictures of a few of us standing on the copala mount. An awesome experience.
i remember when they built the gateway arch in st.louis...i think they used american indians to walk the steel at the 630 foot top because they seem to have no fear of heights. as a kid i always thought that was cool.
there was actually a guy several years back, that rode to the top of the jobsite in the elevator with everyone, with a hard hat on, ppl thought he was a worker, until he got to the top, ran, and jumped off the building...floated down to a waiting car below..pretty nuts:)
