Well i like this song considering im doing the play this year!! and im one of the leads!!! And i auditioned with this song!! And I maed it for lola or meg and i went with meg!!
for ED FINLAN AND NHORR VILLANUEVA...FOR BEING VERY NICE AND KIND TO AN OLD MAN....KAHIT SA CYBER WORLD LNG....LOVE YOU BOTH FOR IT....DAPAT ME KUTS KAYO DALAWA....HAHAHAHAH...
The man standing on the right at the beginning of the clip is James Komak. He brought "The Courtship Of Eddie's father" and "Welcome back, Kotter" to television. He had a recurring role on "Eddie's father" but caused a lot of problems between marcia Strassman and Gabriel Kaplan on the "Kotter" set.
@Rusty3659 Komack did indeed make the transition from performer to producer. It seems the singers here were chosen for a lack of singing talent to match their athletic ineptitude. Your reference to "Eddie's father" reminded me of the brilliant version of this song that EDDIE FISHER put out that hit number one on the charts in 1955 or 56. It is available here on youtube.
It is a great song, but I can't help feeling that the filmmakers could have done more with this. I just watched a high school production version, and it had a lot more energy and, well frankly, more heart! This isn't bad, but it could have been more.
Agree totally, I love the whole movie but think all of it could of done a fair bit better, especially the last scene. The ambiance emanating was abruptly cut short with contrived frivolity, strange I thought. This scene as you clearly pointed out lacked heart and seemed to me to be a touch too much jovial but I still love it. Let's hope the old movies become cool again and we get to see new versions in the near future. @JR1960actor

Not having watched the film, the only version I heard was the Four Aces. This a great scene, and it's a pleasure to hear the original.
