I've worn glasses since kindergarten!! For the longest time, I felt like I couldn't be sexy or attractive with glasses...as if they were some hideous "nerdy academic" mask. But now that I'm more confident (and gasp, realise that having the right glasses can look good) they form such a big part of my identity that even when I have the choice to undergo LASIK, I'm not completely sure I want it anymore! How do you know whether light coloured glasses (eg: silver) or dark coloured glasses (eg: black like yours) look better on you? Sometimes I can tell but I can't pinpoint why.
Eg If you have tan skin would you look better in dark glasses, and if you're lighter skin you'd look better in lighter framed glasses?

I wear red frames with the same shape as yours. You mentioned that I should choose complimenting or contrasting colors. What colors are best for RED frames?? I don't really know what those are :( ... Thanks!
@lemonboardES one of my first pair of glasses were ginormous red frames! haha...as a child. complementary colors to red are in green-ish/blue-ish range. to help you--you should google "color wheel" and colors that appear opposite the color you have, is often definable as the "complement" of that color. it's not an exact science, but it's a great tool! i LOVE color theory!
i have similar glasses to you that i wear sometimes... but I'm very far-sighted, so they're VERY magnifying. another thing in addition to the concealer, is to use a good moisturizing eye cream, because if not your glasses will magnify/ emphasize the fine lines &/or dryness around your eyes!
my suggestion is especially for those who have oily skin (like me), you want to use more setting powder down the bridge of your nose than usual and make sure you blot during the day because if not your makeup will build up in the area where your glasses sit on your nose and can run down and even clog your pores causing acne and even blackheads.
@pinkgolf31 awww...don't be depressed. never let something like glasses bring you down. whether you need them or not, they should just be viewed as another accessory to your look! take pride in it! =D

what foundation do u wear or concealer? because when i take my glasses off i have marks on the sides of my nose near my eyes from where my glasses have rubbed off some of my foundation. what should i do ?
@missfunkymonkey08 personally, i switch between mineral makeup (good tip @wakeuponasunnday) or go bare with just concealer. if you have nose pads or no nose pads on your glasses, the makeup in that area inevitably rubs off. my only solution when that happens is to re-apply OR sometimes i avoid putting foundation near that area so i don't have spots on my nose when i take the glasses off! =) lmk if that's helpful!
