  • HOW COME ANY CLIP OF THIS CRASH NEVER GOES UNTIL THE PLANE STOPS? I WANT TO SEE IT BURN MORE!

  • I was the flight test engineer for this test.

  • They should replicate this on mythbusters

  • @YoeriYoeri This would use too much money.

  • In soviet russia , plane flies you!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!

  • That must have been so cool to witness.

  • despite the giant fireball.. the passangers look fairly safe

  • Really? At 0:39 it looks pretty warm inside the cabin

  • nah thats just the camera angle,

  • R/C Controlled

  • The funny part is they were testing a fuel that was supposed to be less flammable.

  • "Less-flammable fuel" seems like an oxymoron to me. It's FUEL. It's supposed to be ignited when used in an engine.

  • @denelson83 Yeah, it would be an oxymoron if the fuel was supposed to be less flammable, which it was not. The tested addtion was supposed to prevent the kerosine from spraying in the air and creating an inflammable mist on impact and acting like a giant fuel-air-bomb. A high percentage of the victims of near-ground crashes are not killed by the impact but by fire, so this actually made sense.

  • @denelson83 Diesel can't be ignited with a flame for example it needs to be compressed, its less flammable than petroleum.

  • @zasabiibasaz But I imagine there would be critical issues with using diesel fuel in aircraft engines.

  • @denelson83 Modern aircraft diesel engines exist a matter of fact.
