  • Great vid. Good motivation for us dads. I like the cemetery example. I've made monuments for cemetery's for the past 20 years. I see young peoples stones on a daily basis. Yes our life is but a vapor. I think I'll take my kids to a cemetery and use that example. Thanks again. Keep the vids coming

  • Best video you've done by far. Still love the gear reviews though lol.

  • All your videos have inspired me to become more self-reliant and to improve my skills i learned from being in the Scouts so that i can be of help to anyone anytime. Thanks for all your hard work, hope to be able to shake your hand and thank you in person one day :)

  • I couldn't agree more gunchowder. I have yet to watch one of his philosophy vids and not be inspired by it. Yea, alot of it is common sense, but it's good to be reminded every now and then.

  • Vids like this show the human side to tnp. I come back to this vid from time to time. Theses are things I know but need to be reminded of. The shooting, knives, guns, all good but this vid trumps all other vids. The gear means nothing with out the heart. Thanx

  • Nutn, Thank you so much for making this video. I watched and never looked away until it was finished! This video has and will continue to change my life forever. Thank you my friend for taking the time to make this video and discussing those very important talking points in life.

    AWSOME! Thank you again.

  • Nice to be reminded there are other people out there paying it forward :)

And also very nice to see Nutn speaking about it as a role model for the younger (and older!) TNPers..

Thanks for taking the time to make this video Nutn.

    Peace

  • Without a long and drawn out back story. I told mt mom that she made all the right decisions and that all four of us turned out to be great kids. I felt indescribably great.

  • These videos are the reason I consider myself a TNPer.

  • Great video! Love it!!

  • i dont want to be the best son i can be. me and my mom are not the same. she thinks im a certain way and i cant put up with that. i move to vienna soon (from switzerland) fugg that :D

  • top comments show your video came across well nutin,;) peace vfrom UK

  • What is your stance on brass?

  • I agree 100% with the animal bit. So many serial killers started with animal cruelty and mutilation.

  • thank you for your time!i appreciate these philosophy videos.the reason i keep coming back to tnp is because i respect ,what seems to me ,your sincerity.there is too much content to comment on.know that i respect it all. However ,im glad you documented the importance of pickig up your trash and the mess others leave.it will make a difference. When some dudes come back and see that you picked up all thier discarded beer cans, maybe they will get the hint.Later.

  • Nutnfancy you are awesome. It's been a few years since I actually felt sad the the point that tears have rolled down my face, but that Stanley story has made me feel as I felt when I was 6 years old watching the Star Wars jedi being cremated in that film, hit me hard and this is me sitting here after a full on kick boxing session. Man I'm not into ganging up on people but I'll think hard before I ever get into someone because unless we know them intimately, we can't know what they've endured

  • I have watched this video multiple times and it is very deep. Great philosophy, it's one I try to live by every day. Thank you nutn for a great video and a fantastic attitude!

  • great video great stories, I love your approach to life...

    again, regards from poland...

  • talk to your dog.. cat.. gerbal! whatever lol that was funny, good vid

  • 73 people don't do anything good.

  • Thank you alot Nutnfancy I have alot of love for animals and in most cases I have more love for animals then the average person in my comunity and I bet that sounds bad but I live in Puerto Rico and this place is really rundown with horrible people and neighbors. I have been shooting air rifle since I was 10 and firearms since 13 I am 17 now and your videos are an amazing help in not just firearms or the like but also a molder in life style. Thanks you and I hope my bad english gets through.

  • thanks for videos like this nutnfancy!

  • I'm 11 and i admirer you and the entire Nutnfancy project thank you :)

  • I am a volunteer firefighter in Tampa, fl. I give 24-36 hours per week to my community. It is awesome to see that I am not alone in my commitment to my fellow man. I am a proud father of a 3 year old who can't wait to take my son on adventures. Keep up the good work bird dog. Tsgt. McDaniel usasf. 5th grp R.

  • The story about Stanley really blew me away

  • Your videos have shown me what I never could have seen, Thank You.

  • this is long i dont think i could watch this i have to skip aroung lol2

  • Thank you, my brother.

  • I must say, I enjoy the gear reviews but, this is the reason why I love TNP. Another amazing video. Keep doing good nutn, and everyone else out there.

  • Nutn, I just broke down and cried when you told that story about the marine. I must look pretty dumb, a big 6'2 guy crying infront of the computer. You've got a big heart man. Keep postin.

  • Thanks, Nutn. You're the man.

  • Excellent video! Thank You & keep up the good work.

  • It's like I always say... Let's all learn from each other. Joe Tactical

  • I'm so glad you spent so much time discussing what is frequently ignored or given lip service or thought of casually. I believe and practice this approach to life. I ask myself frequently "Have I been a plus or a minus today?" In other words, have I improved a situation or made it worse. I evaluate myself and those around me by this criteria and do what I can to be of service to others. People who consistently lower the net well-being of the world are less than useless. Thank you for this vid.

  • Nutnfancy, you're a good man. Whether you are happy with your own life or not, The good you do in a video like this will make other people happier. Cheers, brother.

  • I will always be watching Nutn!! Stay Safe!

  • Hey Man

Good Job! Not so often that I let a stranger into my home and let him talk to me for 45 minutes straight, but you are worth it. Keep it up!

I already subscribe to all that you brought up in your message, so for me it was not inspiration, it was inspiration to continue.

(I like your gear vids too, lol)

If you have not already talked about it, I would love to hear how you find the time to do all that you do. That is an issue I constantly struggle with.

-Jim, a single Dad in Raleigh, NC

  • Amazing video, nutn! I have mad respect for what you did for that dying person in the hospital!! You are a genuinely nice person :)

  • @yxvq That wasn't Nutn, that was a marine, haha. He just told the story. Although nutn is still a fantastic individual

  • Excellent! Happened to watch it on 9/13 just after the 10th Anniverary of 9/11 - a time of reflection and remembering. I had a good weekend and took my 4 y/o grandson for his first shooting session with a "Buck" BB Gun after having watched your Children of the Gun series. It was a priceless gift for me - thanks for the recommendation and video -(they are on my Son's "to do" list...). Thanks for TNP !

  • You're a good man Nutfnfancy. Thanks.

  • Great video Nutn, I wish this could be on national TV so millions of people can watch it and take a peace of mind. Thank you for sharing I will forward to my friends and family.

  • This is my favorite video from you. It's just such a good reminder. I come back and watch it every now and again. Thank you for putting it out there.

  • i am 13 almost 14 and you and all of your vids have changed my life. my parents wonder how i act like this because i am "mature" as they say. your videos have put standards for how i treat people. thank you soo much for all of your time in doing these things. i cant thank you enough for all of your time and effort. THANK YOU!!

  • I was raised by a single father.

  • I love this! Thank you.

  • It takes alot of guts to speak truth to power. It is often more than one person can handle and yet NF managed to do it in a way that empowered others to make a better world, he must have one heck of a family behind him.

  • good job

  • thank you Nutn.

  • All my life I have had the same mentality that you do on things, I have always felt the need to be prepared, the the ability to help, and doing "some kinda good" throughout my life and so on. But many times that wasn't enough. Now I've been a TNPr for about 6 month now and in this time I've made greater strides toward a better life/person than ever before. My mentality was not enough, and I needed motivated and/or just the wisdom to do it myself. Honestly, thank YOU so much.

    -A 17 year old TNPr

  • I wish I could favorite this more than once. I love this video. Gives me a good feeling every time I watch it

  • holy crap im 13 and this just totally hit me in the face

  • Thanks.

  • Hi everyone. For many giving is probably one of the easiest and more effective ways of doing good, so if figured i might as well post some awesome charity websites, as well as a brief description of what the charities are involved in, in the comments to give you guys some ideas of how to do "Some Kinda Good"

unicefusa, org helps children in need. Water, org provides clean water to the poor. Persecution, com aids Christians persecuted for their beliefs.

    And love146,org fights child trafficking

  • thanks nutn...wish every one was like you

  • I'm going into the automotive industry (actually the mechanics side) because i want to help people

  • @balfarzarkar1 and because i love it

  • not fifteen mins into your vid- and i heard about the posssibility of a return expedition to follow up on one i was on coupla years back- Nutn, you bring karma! in a good way, not a door slamming in your face kinda way. hehe

  • Posted a response here nutn. A deeper look at positivity as it relates to the sheepdog mindset. Thanks.

  • Thanks for making this vid dude, definately some good morals that your spreading to the younger community. God bless!

  • I jus... i have no words. Just thank you.

  • Keep on keepin on mate great vids

  • Hi, Nutnfancy

Thanks for this great video... Sometimes we can only see the trees but not the forest. Thanks , buddy, for this one....

  • If you have 47 minutes, this video will serve anyone well.

    Thanks Nutn

  • Wow! I was totally expecting another review or adventure video. This came out of left field for me, but was very poignant and timely. With everything going on in the world these days, if even 1% of people would take a moment to reflect on the message "do some kinda good", how much better could the world be? I plan to act on this message and will do my part in making this a better place. Thanks, Nutnfancy.

  • ya hamsta lol

  • Dude, the beard is so cool, you gotta re-grow it. Also, do more philosophy videos, there always a great bit of incite.

  • I love your gear reviews, but this is by far the best video you've ever made. There is nothing but pure truth in this. I've watched this entire video three times over the past few months and it has lifted my spirits each time. Thank you Mr. Nutnfancy!

  • This reminds me of a song with the lyrics "at the end of your life, your relationships are all you've got."

    Chris

  • Thank you for the kind words! - Japan post 3/11 - TNP played a major role in helping prepare, mentally and equipment wise to care for my family and many fellow humans and pets who got "caught naked". Thank you for doing your best!

  • I'm a pretty shit son, just sayin. Who knows maybe I can patch shit up with the amazing mum that I dont deserve.

  • Every time one of my dogs passes away, it breaks my heart. But I wouldn't give up all the happy moments and times with them to escape that final loss. Living life, no fear.

  • I first watched this video the month it came out and your message has stuck with me til today nutn. I graduate in August with BS in Homeland Security and right now im interning with a state agency that im not particularly thrilled about, but if i end up with a job with them, i wont complain because of the networking capabilities id have and one of the things that has kept me going during my internship is telling myself that wherever I go, do some kinda good while im there.

  • there are not that many peple in the world who can say what nutinfancy did.......i all try to be the best person i can be cuz not alot of people try to be nice...... this is going to mak me try 100% harder to be the best i can be.....i will show all my friends and family cuz this is somthing people need to hear........thank you.......

  • Top notch video!

  • This is the Nutnfancy I know, and love, thank you Brother. No Regrets.

  • awesome video dude really awesome ive watched alot of videos on youtube and i gotta say YOU are my absolute favorite person to watch i dont mean everyone else is no good i dont mean that at all, just sayin i think your the best at covering EVERYTHING.and like you said at about 27:35 about doing the dishes its a good thing to do yes and we've offered to do so but my mom really will not let anybody do the dishes nobody, dont know why, she,s actually stopped us from doing them so she can she's awesome

  • Great message nutn - CTR

  • I think Allie´s a happy dog ... just sayin´, because i saw people neglect their dog and i felt bad because I couldn´t do more for the poor creature than taking him for a walk some days per week. grown up people should know their responsibilities... at least at some point in time you have to wake up from selfishness & all that

    great video , nutnfancy !

    Best wishes from germany

  • Thanks for sharing your experiences, important parts of your life, and for your advices.... Great video!!

  • nutnfancy thank you for your thoughts you bring it real! this world needs more care.

  • hey nutn, great video, i cried on a few parts, your a great dad, im about to become a father myself, any tips? haha

  • I agree fully. It is disgusting how people treat open spaces where you are permitted to shoot, especially National Forests. They have been closing down places left and right for the same reasons, they turn into landfills. It's really sad and it ruins it for the respectful and responsible people who want to utilize those spaces. People need to grow a little decency and consideration for others.

  • If one of my important personal values is the happiness of my family and friends, am I still selfish for putting my personal values ahead of others values?

Being selfish isn't bad ... Not valuing your relationship with yourself, your family, your friends, strangers, animals, and your planet... Well that is bad.

Again, nothing wrong with being selfish and putting the pursuit of your values first and foremost.

    Great vid

  • @snuffelupaggus you obviously missed the point of this video

  • @Slingsomelead I didn't, a drunk ass friend did, just removed the comment :P I love Nut but think he's a fruit!

  • I've gone though my life battling on and off depression and i can say this is one thing that give me motivation everyday and makes me feel like i can be important.

  • Nice, this is probably one of the best videos on Youtube. You did some kinda' good by uploading this.

  • I first watched this video a few hours after you posted it, the evening before my 48th birthday and was thinking where my life was heading or more correctly not heading. "Some Kinda' Good" helped me realise; that while I have failed at most of the things that I have tried in my life, I am actually really good at what I do now, and that most of the time, even-though I have not realised it, I have been achieving, Some Kinda' Good. I wish I could word this better. Stay safe mate.

  • @Optionsaregood You worded it just beautifully. I loved your comment. -- Veri

  • Thank You, Nutnfancy for taking your time with providing us with your videos!

  • No words can express my appreciation for this video. Your a seriously an awesome guy Nutn'.

  • Not only is he tactical but also sensitive

  • A protector, I say in the sense that they do what they can to help, and a sheepdog does good by simple things like asking someone how they are. Like the anecdote you said in this vid, the guy who was socially tormented by his co workers was obviously having a hard time, and what he needed (not to sound to weird here) is just someone with a kind heart to ask him about what's going on with him. THAT is a sheepdog for me at least. Rock on Nutn.

  • I believe that this is your best video, and also - this video (for me) goes hand in hand, with the sheepdog concept. The sheepdog concept is great for encouraging people to help one another, but I see it being misinterpreted too often. The message some people get is that you should be inches from the trigger at all times ready to be a hero, but, this is what a real sheepdog is. A sheepdog does good everyday, helping their fellow human. Not the action hero attitude, just a helper, and protector.

  • Great video nutn I've just recently started watching your videos and I've got to thank you for sharing philosophy, especially when it comes to the environment . We see the same thing in Canada, you go out to a nice remote location with a good backstop and everything else safety wise and there are shot up TVs, toys, couches, brass, ammo boxes and etc. One thing that all us shooters/outdoors men should be and can easily be doing is leaving nature as clean or cleaner than we found it.

  • I might be only 12 but I think of u as a friend to and that was really touching

  • We think of you as a friend to my brother!

  • iam not the best with my words but i just want to say ty from the bottom of my heart for sharing your wisdom and outlook on life, believe it or not youve been more of a father figure to me & guide than my own abcent dad your very apprciated keep doning what your doning and may god bless you and your family

  • @85jonjae Thank YOU. Your word were great and wonderful to hear. -- Veri

  • Today, nearly one billion people (about 1in 8) lack access to clean water. More than 3.5 million die each year from water-related disease; 84% are children. Lack of access to clean water and sanitation kills at a rate equal to a jumbo jet full of kids every 4 hours. $25 can supply a person with clean water for life. The more people know the more we can make a difference. If you see this, please like it/copy and paste to another vid and give any amount you can. You could save a life.

    Water.org

  • To clarify i am not representing Water.org i was simply giving the website where donations can be made

  • Thank you Nutn. Powerful video and I'm glad you made it. I hope it helps open up eyes. I know it did for me.

  • Hit the nail on the head... Thanks nutnfancy - keep up the awesome work. Any viewers reading this comment who haven't watched the 'pussification' video yet go watch that one next. Keep'n stepping

  • In response to previous comment: It's not that anybody's looking for an enemy. Nobody, I think, ever wants to find themselves in a combative situation. I believe that the world would be much easier, and better, if we were to follow the examples modeled in this video. However, when the moment arises and we are faced with that life or death situation, we ought to be prepared. Whether you are needing to defend yourself, or loved ones, you need to be well equipped to handle the task put before you.

  • @nutnfancy and friends : How do you´re dealing with the fact, that your are walking around, armed to the teeth allday, expecting an enemy allways right around the corner and on the other hand than talking like in this video ?

  • I had just gotten into it with my dad about all kinds of crazy stuff, then found this video. I gotta say, this video really has given me a perspective on things, and how i ought to approach situations. Thank you for posting this great video.

  • There just shouldn't be a dislike button on here.

  • It's amazing (and appropriate) how positive every comment is on this video.

  • Powerful and true.

  • I just wanna say thanks...this video is very touching to me i'm always trying to improve my self and help other peoples and do some kinda good :P and i think you must be an amazing father and friend !!!

  • I really enjoyed it. Thanks so much for your outlook on life, and your truly educational, fun, and very intellectual and realistic look at life, Guns, and the things that truly matter. I wish we had more of your common sense and types of views in our society. Thanks again and I enjoy watching your reviews, and just fun things that can be done with Guns and outdoor gear.

  • nicely said.new follower..enjoy your site and ensightful reviews.

    usaf ret.

  • You inspire me, thanks a lot Nutnfancy.

  • In the last 3 years or so, you have totally changed my outlook on life, and with this Video, you have truly touched my heart! You are a great man Nutnfancy, and I can honestly say you are a Hero and a friend in my eyes, and I one day look forward to meeting you...

  • ur on my chake hand before die list :D

  • Thanks for making a positive influence in my life. I wish you and your family the best. I don't make comments often on YouTube but I almost consider you the big brother I never had. I've learned so much from your videos and I know they are definitely appreciated by everyone on YouTube.

  • Very heavy bro. I think this concept is still somewhat alive in rural areas of the US. What you speak of is pretty much common sense to me, but it seems our country is in very short supply of that these days. Peace.

  • Amen Brother!

  • Dude! You rule. Thanks for posting all the vids. Great advice and great reviews!

  • This video should be required viewing for all people.

  • That's great! Be an awesome husband one day a week! You are the man! I wish we could hang out.... Your outlook on life is exactly what I am trying to crate in my own life. Your videos are awesome, your awesome, keep it up man.

  • I think the message of this video is rather relevant to the start of Lent.

"Remember, man, you are but dust, and to dust you shall return." - Genesis

(A timely way of saying "Use your time on earth wisely")

  • Hey Nutn thanks for throwing this up there, totally stand behind you on this one (and every other vid) and I'm doing my best to follow!

  • Thank you for one of the better videos on youtube. Sure there is a lot of awesome vids out there. But there is not many that makes you think and sends a message like this.

  • Good stuff, keep up the great work....

  • Great Video, Really makes you think about everything.

  • Shit just got real.

  • Great discussion.

  • God bless you Nutn

  • Nutn, thanks for another great philosophy of life video. I originally found your videos when I was looking to purchase my first handgun (went Glock 17 btw) and I've been watching your videos for over a year now. I rarely comment but I appreciate all the work you and everyone else puts into the TNP. Thank you and thanks to the community!

  • wise and honest philosophy. keep on improving the world.

  • This guy gets life. Thats a hard thing to do at times but you only have one, do it right.

stumbled upon nutn a year ago looking for a review on the springfield xd45 I wanted and here we are. This guy is the best youtuber ever in my opinion. He has helped me with purchases and life.

  • Right on man!

  • I love it when somebody can come out and change the train of thought that most people find themselves stuck in. Good job man, I love the philosophy vids.

  • Great Video. Some serious food for thought.

  • I was in a gear mode. Now, I walk away changed.

  • youre a great guy man

  • Great video.. I just watched it again while eating dinner.

    Great stuff.

Thank you for all your hard work dude.

  • The day nutnfancy stops recording will be the day I forget about YouTube.

  • Wow.......Me watching TNP, 20 knives later, gear and guns and 2 years..and I'm still watching you man, don't hasten the day touched me, and this video changed me...its hard for me to type here what I feel in side Nutn, but I want you to know that you've made me want to become a better man, a brother, a son, a father. Thank you brother..that's all I can say..from the depths of my heart. you're like the brother I've never met..but one day I hope to...........I salute you.

  • very very good video nutnfancy. One of the best yet.

  • thank you for all you do =)

  • This video summerizes perfectly what I love about TNP. Keep up the great work Nutn', thank you.

  • Nutn, this was so fine. Love your take on life. Great message, and thanks for being brave enough to put this out there.

  • I appreciate you and this video. Excellent take on life. Best to you and your family.

  • I find your realism and honesty greatly refreshing in this superficial and ridiculous world...I've watched for some time and will continue to do so as long as I am able to do so brother...please for all our sakes keep it up!

  • Here is a guy that truly gets it right. I first stumbled upon Nutnfancy via searching youtube for reviews on a benchmade i had my eye on. Here we are almost a year and a half later and his gear reviews are still top notch but it is videos like this that keep me watching and wishing nothing but the best. If more people had morals of this caliber the world would be a much better place. ~Tony

  • @TNPTony totally agree with you brother

  • @TNPTony Outstanding post Tony, u nailed it on the head, best wishes and take care

  • i dont give a damn what people think about me. if you live for other people "which is want you want us to do -help others-" we stop living for our self. thats what are life is. its a chance to do as you wish when you wish and how you wish. its YOUR life. me personally i dont want to be the guy that helps the 1000 people and have my name displayed cause i simply dont
