Plato's writings state that Atlantis was more than a city, it was a continent. The area they are showing is not big enough to be a continent. He said something about it was as large as India and somewhere else combined.

Actually, you need to look at it again. Plato described a country whose capital was a ringed-island city approximately the same size as that proposed by these archeologists. He said that the country was as big as Asia or Africa, but keep in mind that in the ancient Greco-Roman world, Asia is a small area in Anatolia and Africa is a small area in North Africa, each roughly the size of Arkansas in the USA.

Minoans were part of the Thraco-Pelasgian population of the Balkans and Asia Minor. They can have connection with Atlantis, there are great cities under the water in Turkey and just discovered in Bulgaria, which are aged to 8 000 - 10 000 ago. Which means they may have coexisted with Atlantis and they may share similar architecture and religion. But they are not Atlantis!

if atlantis was in greece don't you think Plato would know It lies opposite the pillars of Hercules in the Atlantic. It contain orichalcum an alloy found in only one place on the planet, the andes.
