  • There is an exercise that can help you with that. Just lay down on the floor on your back, and do the kicking part on your back. Kick so hard that you jump of the ground several inches. But also concentrate on keeping your legs together. That is a VERY IMPORTANT detail to concentrate on. Do this and soon your body will remember the motion and you will be able to do it on your hand while hand hopping ;-) Good luck bro!!!

  • @ZFresh44 Try to hold yourself in the hopping position on a single hand leaning towards the wall. That will be a good exercise to develop more strength in your hopping arm. That you definitely need to do.

  • @spiritshuffle Good day!)) The answer is easy. You SHOULD keep your arm straight, and I'll explain why. When you bend your arm you spend a lot of energy on holding yourself on it. But when you keep it straight you don't make any effort to maintain the arm in the hopping position. And you don't get tired fast. I hope all this made sence)))) Well if I put it simply - you SHOULD keep your arm straight, because that saves you energy. Good day!))) And good luck! ;-)

  • @Frostype Hey buddy, I need some tips/advice. I'm still struggling a little with my two hand hops. I cant really balance when I try to bring my knees down to my chest. So, when I hop, I tend to keep moving backwards and end up falling. Also, my arms keep bending to help facilitate in the hopping. I'm quite lost here, so advice would be appreciated :)

  • @alexdrocullen You need to exercise and make your arm stronger. Try to do a wall hand stand and stand on just one hand for a minute or so. And every couple days increase the handstand time. That will soon make your hands stronger.

In order to get the legs form right lye on your back on the floor and try to kick yourself up with the hopping motion so hard that you body bounces of the floor. Practice THAT and you will soon get it ;-) Good luck bro!

  • @SkyDraco That is not necessary, actually it is not at all necessary ;-) But still you MUST have a good handstand (I mean two handed) for this move.

  • @dabbuful That is a question which answer depends more on what YOU do than what I say. If you train consistent enough you can get it even in a week. My advise to you is "NOT TO GO FOR THE MAXIMUM of how much you can hop", go for clean hop, by that I mean "controled hop" 1 then 2 then 3 and so on, and don't rush into it, be patient and try again and again and you will get it ;-) Good luck to you!

  • @Frostype actuallly i do forearm hops....i cn do 5-6 hops....nd der r no tutorial 4 it...so cn i use dese tips to improve it...or der r different tips 4 dat move...

  • @dabbuful Forearm hops are not VERY different from hand hops. The body positioning and the legs movement is the same. I remember when I decided to learn the forearm hop I could already do hand hops, and I got it very easily. It took me about 1-2 practice day to be able to do about 11 forearm hops. My point is that it IS very similar to hand hops, so there is not much different advice EXCEPT ONE.

  • @dabbuful I would advice you to (if you hop on the right forearm) keep you left palm over the right palm while you practice (Like Bboy Juju does) It make it easier to keep balance that way, because you are using your both hands, what gives you more power, and more control, try that. When you master that you can hop how ever you wish to do so. Good luck :-)

  • @Frostype ayy, i need help and one thing really pisses me off lol: how do u get comfortable with that position? i can practically hold air freezes for a considerable amount of time (1-3 seconds) but i don't know how to hold that position. also, how do i get used to kicking in that position as well? my legs tend to flail around and i find it hard to keep my legs together. plz reply and thx ;) if u want ill post a video sometime soon if it helps.

  • @iPianoAzn Be patient me friend)) I think your problem is caused by your wrong leg positioning. Once you solve THAT you will be able to figure the position out easier. First of all, keeping the legs together while hopping is the key. In order to train that just lie on the floor, and practise kicking your legs in the air VERY hard, so much so that your body jump in the air a few inches or santimeters)) That way your body will remember the right way to keep and kick your legs even when you hop ;-)

    1 question: I can stay whatever i want doing a hand stand, using the 2 arms, but I can only stay about 3 seconds doing a 1 hand stand... It's enough to do hand hop?

  • @ajobenny99 No, I did't do any physical training specifically for this move. In my own style I used to use a lot of one handed freezes that is why my power hand got very strong. But later on I bagan to do one particulal exercise. It is one handed endurance wall stand. I describe it in detail in earlier comment so you can check it out if would like to. But basically it is a handstand that you perform leaning to the wall, and then holding yourself ith only one hand for as long as you can.

    The shoulder must be firm while hopping ;-)

    An exercise that you can do is one handed wall stand. Practice holding that position on the wall for as long as you can. First try 1 min, then more and more ;-) This is how you can build power and endurance in your arm ;-) Do this often and soon your arm will become much stronger ;-) And your hopping wil become better.

    Another exirsice that you can do is standing on your one hand with the help of a wall. Execute a wall handstand. then lift your one hand and stay on the other hand. Keep this position first for 30 sec, then 1 min, and more and more each day or several days. That will make your hand stronger ;-) Good luck bro!

  • )) This is an interesting question because I sometimes found my body spinnig while I hpped sometimes not. I think it is because of palm placement. If you turn it to far to the right(if you hop on your right hand) your body will start turning by itself. But I think it is betterto learn not to spin.))
