  • Not sure if it was answered already, but the song is din din wo (little child) by Habib Koite & Bamada , love that song! What a nice surprise to come across it in your vid! Love your clouds, Been struggling with some huge fluffy clouds in a current painting of mine. Striving for a similar technique. Thank you for sharing, this is helpful! You're very talented.

  • You have been my biggest inspiration man. Good job.

  • Isnt this the song that comes with Itunes?

  • Wow, loved it, thanks Tim - very inspirational I have been looking for a demo on clouds as it's something I am yet to properly tackle - I will be checking out your lessons very soon! Thank you!

Would be interested on your critique of my first 'time lapse' painting :-)

  • sorry Didnt read the title properly. of course its acrylics :P

  • Is this using oil paints or acrylics?

  • i want to try this but i prefer working with oil paint. any tips on that? do you think it would be to hard since oil doesnt dry fast at all?

  • I don't know why would anyone give 9 dislikes. This is simply amazing.

  • Nice.. Do u know how to paint humans then?... I have tried so many times

  • 1.5 hours is pretty much time but its worth it .....i will surely give it a try

  • Do you consider cloud paiting difficult?

  • what kind of brushes do you use? im fairlynew at painting, and i seem to always find the bad quality brushes by mistake =/

  • I paint but I'm very detail oriented, I think that confuses a bit because I have just taking too long.

    I loved his work more

    put more video ........

  • It would be really nice to see the pallet while you paint.

  • You're video is interesting and helpful. Thank you! I also enjoyed the introduction to some new music.

  • bleh

  • El lienzo no está bien tensado; la arruga de la esquina superior derecha acabará causando problemas.

    Salu2

  • thats a cool painting

  • your depth perception is awesome. i can hardly stay to my composition.... lol..

  • If he had taken the time to do it right--4:05 is too herka-jerk-offed fast, folks1--he wouldn't have missed the chem-trails and UFO's in those cloudy skies.

  • thankyou

  • I love the detail, absolutely fascinating.

  • Majestic!

  • i spent most of it shifting my gaze to the shadows that moved as time passed :D good painting tho

  • I think it's funny how there is always four people who 'dislike' something. There are four people who dislike the Beatles on the Apple roof!

  • simply superb..............

  • brilliant paintung!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Really nice...like the flow...and it is good to show others how to fill the canvas, and then layer the color like this....good results!! Thanks for posting...

  • For being a single cloud, its beautiful!

  • Great job from one artist to another.

  • very very nice !!! more tell me!!

  • You are so gifted - clouds are hard, and even if you're doing it from memory, you have the site of a true observer and a memory retention that I envy. I can only work from photos, and man, would I love to have some of your talent. Also your speed - wow. Were you always that fast?

  • absolutely nice!!! terrific!!!

  • wow. what brand of acrylics do you use?

  • Nicely done. I love painting convective clouds, they are loads of fun and help strengthen contrast skill.

  • What brand of acrylics do you use? For this painting what brushes did you use? Do you prep your canvas, or use as is?

  • I wish I could paint... People who can should give thanks every day for the gift they've been given.

  • @TechnusLlamus anybody with time and patience can paint, it doesn't take a genius. i was not born with artistic talent. i don't even think there is such thing as artistic talent.

  • Gorgeous!!!!

  • Wow, you make it almost look like you're working with oils.

  • I found out that a thin layer of line-oil (lijnolie in Dutch) which I normally uses under my oil paintings also work under acrylics very well.... It keeps the paint fluent much better and longer than water... Is this a well-known method... or did I find out something completely new?? :))

  • lol itunes default music xD

    love the painting! the best!

  • Bad clouds never looked better :D

  • AAAWWWWEEESSSSOOOMMMMEEEE!! AWESOME! Beautiful work, just gorgeous!

  • The song is Din Din Wo is anyone is wondering. By Habib Koite :)

  • O.o.... awesome! =^.^=

    ~lovely compostition~

[though, my speciality is water color! ^^]

& i was never good @ direct, acylic paintings...

but, my art class is doing study on acylics this week....

*you have given me newfound inspiration to give acrylics another shot....*

    Thanks! :D

  • I Dont think it looks unnatural at all, i had a project where i had to study clouds for some time and when i came to painting then, you actually realise and think , What an earth is the right shape for a cloud they are such hard things to draw more so in the cumulus formation i think this artist has captured it well, the only reason i think that is look unnatural is because of the angle you are looking at it from the artist has captured the cloud at eye level making its perception unnatural.

  • You are great. I can see that you really understand your medium. Only years of study can produce your kind of art. God bless.

  • looks unnatural. But it's stil an achievement.

    great job. =)

  • Hallo Tim , ich liebe deine Filme und Werke. Du bist toll. Grüße Von lilly aus Germany

  • Looks very... Strange.. I dont think you should make it that perfect all the time you paint clouds..

  • how much time did you use for this?

  • @Caschcasch from about how fast he is going id say at normal speed this was probably around 15-20 mins.

  • I love your clouds! Great work!

Thank you for share your knowledges with us!

  • Love the outdoor setting! Great painting also. Check out my work if you have time. Thanks for sharing your work.

  • Beautiful! Quite the talent you have there :)

  • awesome,love it.

  • Tim, can you tell me who the artist is and the song title in this video?

    Thanks

  • amazing! :)

  • FABULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You should make a chemtrail painting. We need to wake up to what's happening in the skies... please search & watch "Don't talk about the weather".

  • Fantastic work!!

When you are painting are you using the wet on wet method? Or are the colors used with a retarder to slow down the drying time to allow for blending on the canvas?

  • thank you so much, i've been working on my portfolio for college and your videos have been a great help :D to me! best of luck and great chice of music btw!

  • awhmazing.... atm i'm doing an acrylic painting study and cloud study.... this stuff greatly helps me get better... thanks for uploadin.

  • SPECTACULAR ! SPETTACOLARE ! (Italian).

    FANTASTIC ! BRAVOO !

  • You, sir, have talent!

  • that moves me..it's just amazing !!

  • Nice painting , nice music , im going to pos it on face book so my friend can see this nice video.

  • Whats the name of the song ????

    beautiful painting btw.

  • Excellent!I wish someone could tell me how to use the acryllic painting retarder because I have trouble with blending...

  • Beautiful! I've done a few clouds-only paintings. They're unappreciated as a primary subject, but are worthy of such focus. ~Ian

  • Im Fascinated With the way you paint your clouds

    iiTz just Amazing

OH AND THE MUSIC IS SERIOUSLY GREAT!!!!!!!!

The song totally goes with your painting!! it gives it that peaceful flow as you give the final touches to those amazing clouds!!

    Love

    JaCky!!!

  • man you've got some serious cloud drawing skills. you should try throwing in a deliberate portait into the cloud or something. maybe two faces looking at each other, then a lone bird flying between them. i donno.

  • wow i dont know what i liked more. this music or the painting!

  • Wow! That's incredible! It's like you can see the texture and dimensions of the clouds! I would try to touch the canvas and expect cotton! LOL Amazing!

  • well, great clouds, thank you.

  • awesome video.... unreal clouds.... great job

  • can you tell me what size brush you use, your clouds are wonderful. im a new painter and i hope i can someday paint half as good as you, great job

  • mumba boomba jungle music?

  • Exactly what I've been looking for, except I still cant pull it off yet.Are you looking up at the sky or just painting from memory? thanks

  • I was painting from memory in this video. I just make them up as I go along mostly. Sometimes I'll paint from real life or a picture, but I enjoy just using my imagination most of the time.

  • Absolutely beautiful... such a wonderful mastery of acrylics... Clouds are a tough thing to paint in fast-drying acrylics, but you have ALWAYS pulled them off nicely.. FIVE (well deserved) STARS!!!

    Excellent, my friend

  • Thanks!!

  • Hello. Please tell me, if you will, how do you get rid of your brush strokes being evident or do you?

From what I can see I can't see any strokes but whenever i paint clouds they have too many visible brush strokes. Any advice on this matter. Also, do you use retarder in your acrylic or thin it with turpentine or water?

Great painting also! All of them really take your breath away!

  • In oils, that would be a fan brush dusted over what you've painted. You can try it in acrylics and see how it works.

  • I want some lessons from you lol

  • looks like the storm is coming!! 10stars!
