I miss this kind of G4. I didn't watch back in the extended play days because i didn't have G4. but I did get to watch part of the glory days before it started to change. It was so much more about gameplay and innovation and not just what is popular. X-Play used to be so much more honest about their reviews and now it feels as though they're changing how they review games based on what would get them more success. As for other programing they used to be about games and not just spike TV re-runs.
In a few months this will be 10 years old. Let us finally face the facts.....We are getting old and they will never make this channel like how they did.

X-Play is still good today. Attack of the Show is ok but I only watch the tech parts of it. G4 needs to rerun these old TechTV shows, I have never seen them on TV before. Maybe if they did that and it was popular enough, they would make new tech shows, like maybe a new Call for Help.
I miss this show, it all went downhill when Webb joined up. I watched for the reviews, not for sketch comedy, there are shows dedicated to sketch comedy that I could watch if that's what I wanted, SNL comes immediately to mind.

Cops? Cheaters? Recycled Japanese reality (?) shows and they completely axed anything innovative or revealing. Xplay is a 30-minute advertisement for Console games (retch!) and Attack of the Show might well be described as a video catalog, all ads and fluff.
Tech TV was a learning experience, they told people about bad products and explained technical concepts with a lot of interesting yet clear explanations.

Man, I wish I had digital cable when this was around.
I started watching X-Play around 2004, and man, it was still awesome, but the new X-Play sucks >_>
Why can't G4 go back to tech instead of full-day marathons of cops and cheaters? :(

hm, well isn't it obvious? g4 is trying to appeal to a gaming audience, and everyone knows, gamers loves cheaters, and cops.., fastlane, and the man show.., wait.., no.., well, i guess they're just retarded :P. In all honesty, they have no real audience to focus towards, i think they would have more success with being strictly tech based, i mean they have commercials that say "its a nerds world", so i guess cops is full of nerds now? :P

Dude the new X Play is just kissing up the certain companies. The old X Play and Extended Play was at least honest. G4 ruined Tech TV there is nothing original on it anymore. If G4 brought things like Zero Punctuation to TV then I would watch again.

Wow, Adams hair. 90's style, I didn't get on board until recently on the whole X-play thing but I like this better. it feels more like it should be, truly for the gamers.
