@megastar693 I was never daily, just every other day until my skin normalized, then once or twice a week depending on weather, my activities (i.e., swimming, running), and just if I feel like a treat. In summer I oil cleanse maybe twice a month and use a damp cloth to wipe my face daily since I don't wear make up very much. It's a method that you need to tailor to your skin's needs in order for it to be effective. Good luck and let me know how it goes for you! :)
What oils do you use? I am a teen, tried everything and I have really sensitive skin. what will workj for acne that is starting to form badly? thanks! and wow, you look 20! wow your skin is amazing ;-;
@Loopsyy Thanks for saying 20. LOL! I use equal parts Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Castor Oil. I have sensitive skin too, and these are VERY mild. Just make sure to steam and wipe the excess oil to prevent cysts or acne. I was sloppy a few weeks ago, and got a cyst under my eye. Not attractive, especially because I hyper pigment so the evidence of my error will be with me for weeks! Give it try, good luck, and let me know how it goes for you.
sorry don't mean to sound weird or anythink but how do you wash each day? i have been using proactiv for at least 7 month's and it hasn't got my skin any better just worse.i have castor oil and i would like to know how you wash each morning and night. If you could reply it would mean a great deal thank's alot. Also you look amazing :)
@238smithy Alot of people ask so you aren't weird. I use a cleanser to remove makeup when I wear it (which isn't often). My daily routine is to use a wet cloth to wipe my face then to follow with light oil. After the gym, I use a babywipe, then a wet cloth when I get home. When it gets to -20C or lower, I will put Vaseline on my exposed skin. My goal is to keep my skin normalized instead of having dry or oily zones. Thanks for commenting & I hope I answered your question. :)
@MrsCottonCurls I now use this to maintain clear skin, so only when needed. I feel like it's a treat now where I can indulge in 12 minutes of focussing solely on my skin. Sounds weird, I know. But because I look forward to it, I'll actually do it. Hope his is helpful, and thanks for commenting.
@RosElisabeth Ever since I read this I've been looking for peach green tea as this sounds like a great refresher for after the gym. Haven't found it yet, but thanks for the idea! It probably makes you smell yummy too! LOL!
@Bebs1675 It's almost always sold out at my Shoppers Food Warehouse. Peach tea is so delicious. Smells so wonderful. Good luck- hops you find some soon!
the only hesitancy i have about this is i've read that overly hot or cold water can both burst capillaries and are harmful to the delicate skin of the face.
@insanelyblissful I'm not using boiling water or ice cold, just what comes out of the tap. I liken this to people who use the hot springs then take a dip in an ice bath. Although this isn't quite that extreme, it's restorative practice and hasn't done any harm. But again, this is what I do and I encourage people to tweak this to suit themselves. Give it a try and change what you need to so it works for you. :)
@ksmama81 You've gotta use what works best for your skin. Make a small batch using the EVOO and judge how well it works after a few uses. If you aren't seeing the results you want, then tweak to suit YOU best. Keep trying until you've found your perfect combo.
@hottieplus1 before bed is a great time to do it because you have more time and because if you've maybe not removed all the oil properly you'll notice an oily patch and can correct it by re-steaming the skin. In the morning all I have to do is wipe my face with a cloth, or do nothing since my skin is behaving so well now
hey i have a couple questions. i have oily skin and i want to go all natural on removing my acne, i have mild/moderate. how many times should i do the OCM. do i put anything on in the morning? and should i do anything else for my skin to get rid of acne or will it go away just doing there simple methods?
@MovadoDaSaint LOL! Slept so often on them they'll NEVER be straight again. Don't have to worry about that anymore though since I started wearing extended wear contacts.I can sleep in them for 30 days then dash them in the trash. Innovation can be wonderful
with OCM u rly have to find the right combination of oils for you...I mixed castor oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil and a few drops of tea tree oil. The combo did not work at all it ended up breaking me out even more now I keep it more simple...50% castor oil and 50% jojoba oil or 40%/60%. I do the regime a lil different than most ppl BUT I do what works for me..and I do it twice a day ill prob end up just doing it once a day. But yeah skin looks great now and acne is fading away. =)
@lalabunnybr I've never tried jojoba oil, mostly because I can never find it! Jojoba is great but can be heavy for some people so you're right when you say find what works best for YOU. That includes methods as well as products. And as long as it's working, keep doing it! :)
You have great skin. I use to bread out all the time. Any when I was 28 (now I'm 31) I heard of olive oil helps clear up skin. So I tried it and It really works I use oil on my skin at least 3 times a week. For a days when my skin gets a little clogged I just put joba oil on a Cotton ball and and use it like an astringent to do a quick clean( I dont wip off). Now at 31 my skin has never looked better. For cleaning olive oil, for astringent I use seabuthourn oil and joba oil, sikn so soft oil.
@homemakingwisdom I occasionally use witch hazel as an astringent since it's so mild it feels like water. Jojoba oil is like hen's teeth in these parts. I've never used it since I've never found it, but your use of it sounds interesting enough to try harder to find it.
a lady told me to use castor oil(at my work place,im a cashier) cuz i have acne and im so gonna try i ma go and buy that oil thanks im sick of acne i so hoping this will work for me but thanks again and my skin is just like u said urs was---so dry in my fordhead and around my mouth and the rest is = oil i hate it
What kind of oil is it? Can you use any kind and mix them together? I am definitely going to try this and get my family into as well. Thank you so much!
@MsWiggle1970 I can't vouch for the efficacy of other combinations, though plenty of people have PM'd me about what they use (usually keeping Castor oil and tweaking the EVOO to what suits them better); but this combo has worked very well for me and I love it. It's all trial and error to find what suits YOU best. I hope it's going well.
Andrea I owe you a lot for this video!! My skin's been driving me crazy for months and I'd never heard of the OCM before I randomly found this video. I tried it tonight with EVOO and castor oil and even after just one go my skin looks better than it has in forever. Thankyou thankyou thankyou! :)
@ArwenPendragon I'm so happy that you stumbled upon this video! It's amazing that something so simple can work so well and make us feel a million times better. I hope your skin is still glowing!
I've been using Jojoba oil as a moisturizer for a few weeks now and I just started doing the OCM (I think started less than a week ago). I can't even believe how much of an improvement I've seen so far. I love this method. It's cheap and it makes my skin look amazing. Thanks for the video. You look beautiful.
@Ask4bea It is amazing how quickly the skin improves. Just remember to back off a bit as your skin normalizes; And thank you for your compliments. I'm glad that the vid is helpful
@diegaah thanks. I only wear sunblock if I'm outside in the summer for extended periods. I guess I should look into which oils have SPF in them naturally.
@denariarmstrong1 I do this usually in the evenings and only when needed. Between OCM I use water, unless I've been wearing mascara then I use Spectro cleanser which is extremely mild and takes off the eye makeup without me having to take out my contacts.
hey i have sum questions can yu just use da extra olive oil. nd wats castro oil for? also do yu do this everyday AM to PM? i have acne mild/moderate was your advice on how i should use it?
and after doin the OCM can you put spot treatment on like 10% benzoly peroxide and the pimples yu already have? thanx any advice will help =]
The castor is for cleansing the olive for moisture. I do this several times a MONTH, but I used to do it every other day until my sking normalized. Is your skin dry or oily? Oily skin should do it less often, but do the steam clean daily followed by light oil. Benzoyl is drying, so I wouldn't use it personally. You have to mes around and figure out what works best for your skin, but I hope I've been of some help. And do it before bed so you start the next day with balanced skin. :D Good Luck!
Thank you! I feel radiant, and I must admit that I've been feeling more confident now that my skin isn 't a huge issue. I didn't kow when I started this how much I'd really appreciate it.
good vid. i had tried the OCM for a couple of weeks with castor oil and extra virgin coconut oil. but i ran out of castor oil. anywhooooo...i may pick this up again maybe a couple of times a week, with the castor oil and evoo. my dermatologist has just prescribed some topical medication for my acne, and i really don't want to rely on harsh chemicals forever. so i'm waiting on some raw black soap, and hopefully that, my aveeno (which has worked great), and OCM will help me out. :::sigh:::
After you've completed the prescription if you want to try OCM, make sure to go SLOWLY. You don't want to do it o much and get breakouts all over again. Good luck and tell us how it worked out for you. :)
i decided not to use the prescribed medications. the raw black soap and unrefined shea butter has been working WONDERFULLY!!! my gosh! i've stopped using the aveeno, and only use the black soap and shea butter twice daily. my skin looks great. soooo i may incorporate this again...probably castor oil and jojoba oil tho...we'll see...
Getting all the oil off is key. Using witch hazel may be helpful in this instance. It is a skin wizard (I use it for burns), and will remove excess oil without drying or hurting your skin. It feels like water. don't forget to follow up with light oil. Re: pre or post shower, it's usually long after a shower. I don't do it every day so to me it's a treat. I wait for the kids to go to sleep and the football game to be on, then I really take my time, make it a "spa" experience. HTH :)
You might want to try something softer than a washcloth. Go to the auto care aisle of Wally world or target and get a package (the best price and the same thing) of the microfibre cleaning cloths. They are much softer. Make sure to use a new one each time and wash them in mild detergent and no softner. Hope that helps!
Hi bebs, thanks for sharing the video. it was clear and easy to follow. i tried it last nite and seems ok but i know its to early to tell. I just hope it will really work even in tropical place that i'm in. more power to you. cant thank you enough.
heck no your skin doesn't reflect your age! i'm 27 and my skin in no way looks as smooth and even as yours... i just started using the OCM and i'm liking the results so far- thanks for the video! ;)
My biggest advice even if you don't want to OCM, is to stop using soaps and detergent on your skin, especially if it'soily. If you must use "soap" use Spectro cleanser or unscented baby wipes. These are the gentelest no-drying cleansers out there, which I use ocassionally with no ill effect. Keep the questions coming. Let's help eachother achieve our best skin yet!!
Because you are slathering oil on your face, it is best to use the hot cloth directly on the skin. You want to make sure you've gotten all the excess oil and dirt out or you'll develop cysts and acne. Steaming on non-OCM days is great and encouraged, but just isn't enough to remove the oil.
I have been looking for different ways to improve my skin and your vid was very informative! I live in South Florida where the weather is very warm (and sometimes hot) but not that humid since we have beaches down here. My skin is very acne prone and leans toward combination/oily. Do you think I could benefit from the OCM?
I think it could, but not if used too often. I think the steam clean will be the most beneficail to you, with OCM maybe 1x weekly. Just stay away from soap and astringent as that can make your skin overproduce oil, creating the acne. Try OCM making sure you really steam out the oil and see how your skin feels a few days later and go from there. How often you do it depends on your skin. It's trial and error, and figuring out your skins best balance. HTH ;)
Since I have posted my comment 2 weeks ago, I have been using OCM along with a friend. The friend has very oily skin, mine is more normal but does dry out in the winter and gets oilier in the summer. BOTH of us have had remarkable results using OCM. Both of our skin is more...luminous, I guess would be a great word. We are both in our 40s and have heard in the last week or so that we look good. :) Your video sold us. Thanks again.
Go on with yourselves ladies! Peple with oily skin are always a little skeptical, but it can and does work. THANK YOU for the testimonial, and I.m glad I was ableto brng you over the the other side. :)
I just started OCM and I chose Grapeseed oil as opposed to EVOO. So my mix is Castor Oil, Grapeseed oil and Safflower Oil for moisture. I love it...so far!
On the rare occassion that I wear makeup, I use Spectro cleanser to remove it. But that's maybe 2 or 3 times a month. When it'snot OCM it's plain water or steam to clean my skin. My dry climate is the only reason I can get away with OCM so often. :)
You could keep using the shea butter instead of oilif you want. Shea is a great sun screen and helps even out skin tone. It just needs to be a light application. I tried it out and I think when it hits minus 30 around here this would be something I'd do as it seems to provide a barrier against the wind. It can't hurt to try, and if I start breaking out, I know what to stop using.
yeah, i never use sunscreen. from personal experience and the evidence i've seen (carcinogens in sunscreen, cancer rates lower in the sunbelt than in northern US, reports of payoffs between sunscreen industry and cancer industry) i have come to believe that sunscreen causes more cancer than does the sun. sunlight is the best source for vitamin D (anti-cancer, prevents autoimmune disorders). an antioxidant-rich diet (fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, beans and whole grains) prevent sunburn.
It's actually pretty horrible. If I could eat McD's all day I would. Plus, I work nights so don't get great sleep, so this helps my skin look less tired. My skin isn't perfect, but OCM I feel really helps improve its condition.
You didn't do anything wrong. The problem could be your climate or how often you OCM'd. Where I live has almost ZERO humidity, meaning that my skin benefits from oil cleansing more often, especially in the winter. If you stillwant to oil cleanse, I would sugest doing itonce a week or less. The rest of the time just steam your face and rinse with cold water. That's my summer regimen and it's working out pretty well for me currently. If I get a bump, I steam and rinse 2x a day til it goes away.
For those who have inquired privately about what I do in the summer, I don't oil cleanse unless my skin fels very tight or dry. I steam my skin up to twice a day, cold water rinse, then follow up with light oil. As the weather cools and he air gets even drier, I'll increase how often I use OCM. HTH any one who has been wondering.
Thanks for this video. Your skin is very youthful. I though you were in ur 20's. I also heard you can leave the hot cloth on your face until it cools down and then gently rub off the oil. Also just for others reading this, the oil used should be a combo of castor oil (for cleansing) and another oil like olive for mosturizing. Google oil cleansing method for more info.
Thanks for the comment and the compliment. Remember, it doesn't matter if you follow my method exactly or tweak it. It'sall about making OCM work for you. The steamy cloth feels spa like to me which is why I do it that way. And I totally agree about the oils, and I always stress about using the best you can afford.Cold pressed for me since it is in its purest most nutrient rich form.
First, try not to pull down on your face so much. Gravity is already working against you in that regard. You don't want to fight wrinkles while forgetting about sagging. ^_~ *wink
Secondly, you don't look 34 at all. I would have guessed you were 25. ^_^
I never noticed how much I pull and rub, so thanks for pointing that out. I may pullalot because without my glasses I have to really feel my way over my face. But thanks to you I am rehabbing myself against the pulling! ;)
oh my goodness, your described my skin exactly! I use olive oil to wash my face also. I use DHC products, and they are all olive oil based. My face looks and feels better:-)
i love this video! thanks so much for sharing. ive been thinking about trying this - ive had mild-moderate persistent acne for years, and im starting to think that all the drying products ive used are stripping my skin and making it overcompensate! ive always considered myself to have oily skin, but perhaps its actually dry and needs more moisture? anyway, im going to give this a try in the next few days and hopefully it works out.
Just make sure that you remove the excess oil from your skin well. If you live in a warm climate, occasional use of astringent can be beneficial, but I live in the mountains where it SUPER dry. I hope this works for you, cuz I love it and find it woks for me. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks. I keep seeing ways to improve and will do so on the next one. Have the cocoa butter or oil helped in reducing pigmentation? I used to use JBCO with good results, but I've run out and I can't get it where I'm at. I don't know if the internet retailers are reliable enough for me to buy it that way.
Hi! Your skin is beautiful! What oil did you use? I am doing it too but Im still having breakouts at over 40! I have not used the cold water... I use hot steam. Does it matter though?
Thanks for the compliment! I use equal parts castor oil and extra virgin olive oil. I use the steam from the hot cloth to clean the oil from my face and open up the pores so I can get all the gunk out. Cold water to finish works as a toner but without the drying effects. It matters to find the right combo that works for you. Maybe the oil you are using is too heavy and you need something lighter. Or maybe you aren't cleaning the oil off enough. Take your time with it & let me know what works.
Beautiful skin! Great job! :)

@diegaah thanks. I only wear sunblock if I'm outside in the summer for extended periods. I guess I should look into which oils have SPF in them naturally.
Bebs1675 1 year ago
Your skin is so beautiful! do you do this both morning and nite? Thanks for the info!
denariarmstrong1 2 years ago
@denariarmstrong1 I do this usually in the evenings and only when needed. Between OCM I use water, unless I've been wearing mascara then I use Spectro cleanser which is extremely mild and takes off the eye makeup without me having to take out my contacts.

I was wondering what is your skincare the days you do not use the OCM? Do you only use the OCM at nite?
artistnsoul 2 years ago
hey i have sum questions can yu just use da extra olive oil. nd wats castro oil for? also do yu do this everyday AM to PM? i have acne mild/moderate was your advice on how i should use it?
and after doin the OCM can you put spot treatment on like 10% benzoly peroxide and the pimples yu already have? thanx any advice will help =]
mexmel 2 years ago
The castor is for cleansing the olive for moisture. I do this several times a MONTH, but I used to do it every other day until my sking normalized. Is your skin dry or oily? Oily skin should do it less often, but do the steam clean daily followed by light oil. Benzoyl is drying, so I wouldn't use it personally. You have to mes around and figure out what works best for your skin, but I hope I've been of some help. And do it before bed so you start the next day with balanced skin. :D Good Luck!

Wow, you have very, very nice skin. Radiant!
isoblah 2 years ago

:::sigh:::
NuMom2J 2 years ago
After you've completed the prescription if you want to try OCM, make sure to go SLOWLY. You don't want to do it o much and get breakouts all over again. Good luck and tell us how it worked out for you. :)
Bebs1675 2 years ago
i decided not to use the prescribed medications. the raw black soap and unrefined shea butter has been working WONDERFULLY!!! my gosh! i've stopped using the aveeno, and only use the black soap and shea butter twice daily. my skin looks great. soooo i may incorporate this again...probably castor oil and jojoba oil tho...we'll see...
NuMom2J 2 years ago
Getting all the oil off is key. Using witch hazel may be helpful in this instance. It is a skin wizard (I use it for burns), and will remove excess oil without drying or hurting your skin. It feels like water. don't forget to follow up with light oil. Re: pre or post shower, it's usually long after a shower. I don't do it every day so to me it's a treat. I wait for the kids to go to sleep and the football game to be on, then I really take my time, make it a "spa" experience. HTH :)
Bebs1675 2 years ago
You might want to try something softer than a washcloth. Go to the auto care aisle of Wally world or target and get a package (the best price and the same thing) of the microfibre cleaning cloths. They are much softer. Make sure to use a new one each time and wash them in mild detergent and no softner. Hope that helps!

Hi bebs, thanks for sharing the video. it was clear and easy to follow. i tried it last nite and seems ok but i know its to early to tell. I just hope it will really work even in tropical place that i'm in. more power to you. cant thank you enough.
zxsyjean 2 years ago
Thank you for watching and being able to use OCM. Remember you don't have to use it often in your tropical locale. Let me know how it works for you.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
heck no your skin doesn't reflect your age! i'm 27 and my skin in no way looks as smooth and even as yours... i just started using the OCM and i'm liking the results so far- thanks for the video! ;)
tifcooper82 2 years ago
Thanks for the compliment! Just do it as often as what works best for you where ever it is you live. Good Luck!! :D

First of all thanks for the reply to my question. what about all natural african black soap?
ebony5b 2 years ago
My biggest advice even if you don't want to OCM, is to stop using soaps and detergent on your skin, especially if it'soily. If you must use "soap" use Spectro cleanser or unscented baby wipes. These are the gentelest no-drying cleansers out there, which I use ocassionally with no ill effect. Keep the questions coming. Let's help eachother achieve our best skin yet!!
Bebs1675 2 years ago
beautiful, what if i use hot water in a bowl and steam my face over then use the towel just to wipe?
ebony5b 2 years ago
Because you are slathering oil on your face, it is best to use the hot cloth directly on the skin. You want to make sure you've gotten all the excess oil and dirt out or you'll develop cysts and acne. Steaming on non-OCM days is great and encouraged, but just isn't enough to remove the oil.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
I have been looking for different ways to improve my skin and your vid was very informative! I live in South Florida where the weather is very warm (and sometimes hot) but not that humid since we have beaches down here. My skin is very acne prone and leans toward combination/oily. Do you think I could benefit from the OCM?
FSHG09 2 years ago
I think it could, but not if used too often. I think the steam clean will be the most beneficail to you, with OCM maybe 1x weekly. Just stay away from soap and astringent as that can make your skin overproduce oil, creating the acne. Try OCM making sure you really steam out the oil and see how your skin feels a few days later and go from there. How often you do it depends on your skin. It's trial and error, and figuring out your skins best balance. HTH ;)
Bebs1675 2 years ago

Bebs1675 2 years ago
No sunscreen for me either. It always feels so thick and sticky. I wear big shades and a hat if I'mout in the sun all day.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
I just started OCM and I chose Grapeseed oil as opposed to EVOO. So my mix is Castor Oil, Grapeseed oil and Safflower Oil for moisture. I love it...so far!

Thanks so much. The dry weather when we moved here is what made me consider this treatment. I want to keep youthful kin as long as possible.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
beautiful skin! i was wondering what do u use when u don't "ocm" i mean don't u ever watch ur face with soap??
patder 2 years ago
On the rare occassion that I wear makeup, I use Spectro cleanser to remove it. But that's maybe 2 or 3 times a month. When it'snot OCM it's plain water or steam to clean my skin. My dry climate is the only reason I can get away with OCM so often. :)
Bebs1675 2 years ago
i think ill just do like u and forget about the black soap & shea butter! seeing ur skin i think this is the real thing =)
patder 2 years ago
You could keep using the shea butter instead of oilif you want. Shea is a great sun screen and helps even out skin tone. It just needs to be a light application. I tried it out and I think when it hits minus 30 around here this would be something I'd do as it seems to provide a barrier against the wind. It can't hurt to try, and if I start breaking out, I know what to stop using.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
Your skin is actually quite lovely. OCM must be doing very well for you. Thanks for the info.
iTerpy 2 years ago
Your welcome, and thanks for the compliment! I'm glad I gave it a try as it is one of the best things I've done for my skin.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
yeah, i never use sunscreen. from personal experience and the evidence i've seen (carcinogens in sunscreen, cancer rates lower in the sunbelt than in northern US, reports of payoffs between sunscreen industry and cancer industry) i have come to believe that sunscreen causes more cancer than does the sun. sunlight is the best source for vitamin D (anti-cancer, prevents autoimmune disorders). an antioxidant-rich diet (fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, beans and whole grains) prevent sunburn.
herbs814 2 years ago
It's actually pretty horrible. If I could eat McD's all day I would. Plus, I work nights so don't get great sleep, so this helps my skin look less tired. My skin isn't perfect, but OCM I feel really helps improve its condition.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
hi,hun!
i did the OCM not too long & i developed cystic acne afterward.
i used castor & evoo..rinsed like you did...
i even rinsed it 5x at least just to be sure that i get rid of all of the oil..
i wanted this to work so much that i kept doing this but the zits turned to cystic acne
T_T
& up until now i still suffer with the 'aftermath' of it...
any suggestions,hun?
you think i did something bad
*sniff*
thiamere 2 years ago
You didn't do anything wrong. The problem could be your climate or how often you OCM'd. Where I live has almost ZERO humidity, meaning that my skin benefits from oil cleansing more often, especially in the winter. If you stillwant to oil cleanse, I would sugest doing itonce a week or less. The rest of the time just steam your face and rinse with cold water. That's my summer regimen and it's working out pretty well for me currently. If I get a bump, I steam and rinse 2x a day til it goes away.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
For those who have inquired privately about what I do in the summer, I don't oil cleanse unless my skin fels very tight or dry. I steam my skin up to twice a day, cold water rinse, then follow up with light oil. As the weather cools and he air gets even drier, I'll increase how often I use OCM. HTH any one who has been wondering.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
Thanks for this video. Your skin is very youthful. I though you were in ur 20's. I also heard you can leave the hot cloth on your face until it cools down and then gently rub off the oil. Also just for others reading this, the oil used should be a combo of castor oil (for cleansing) and another oil like olive for mosturizing. Google oil cleansing method for more info.
peace871 2 years ago
Thanks for the comment and the compliment. Remember, it doesn't matter if you follow my method exactly or tweak it. It'sall about making OCM work for you. The steamy cloth feels spa like to me which is why I do it that way. And I totally agree about the oils, and I always stress about using the best you can afford.Cold pressed for me since it is in its purest most nutrient rich form.
Bebs1675 2 years ago
First, try not to pull down on your face so much. Gravity is already working against you in that regard. You don't want to fight wrinkles while forgetting about sagging. ^_~ *wink
Secondly, you don't look 34 at all. I would have guessed you were 25. ^_^
silne08 2 years ago 2
I never noticed how much I pull and rub, so thanks for pointing that out. I may pullalot because without my glasses I have to really feel my way over my face. But thanks to you I am rehabbing myself against the pulling! ;)
Bebs1675 2 years ago
thank you i hope this works for me, there is no end to the list of things iv tried!!
elland0101 2 years ago
oh my goodness, your described my skin exactly! I use olive oil to wash my face also. I use DHC products, and they are all olive oil based. My face looks and feels better:-)
bnme13 2 years ago
i love this video! thanks so much for sharing. ive been thinking about trying this - ive had mild-moderate persistent acne for years, and im starting to think that all the drying products ive used are stripping my skin and making it overcompensate! ive always considered myself to have oily skin, but perhaps its actually dry and needs more moisture? anyway, im going to give this a try in the next few days and hopefully it works out.
peaches3450 2 years ago 2
Just make sure that you remove the excess oil from your skin well. If you live in a warm climate, occasional use of astringent can be beneficial, but I live in the mountains where it SUPER dry. I hope this works for you, cuz I love it and find it woks for me. Thanks for commenting!
Bebs1675 2 years ago
Thanks. I keep seeing ways to improve and will do so on the next one. Have the cocoa butter or oil helped in reducing pigmentation? I used to use JBCO with good results, but I've run out and I can't get it where I'm at. I don't know if the internet retailers are reliable enough for me to buy it that way.
Bebs1675 3 years ago
You look very young. I thought you were in your early twenties.

Don't make me blush! Thank you. I am 34 and fighting it with all I've got.
Bebs1675 3 years ago
Hi! Your skin is beautiful! What oil did you use? I am doing it too but Im still having breakouts at over 40! I have not used the cold water... I use hot steam. Does it matter though?
RTL52 3 years ago
Thanks for the compliment! I use equal parts castor oil and extra virgin olive oil. I use the steam from the hot cloth to clean the oil from my face and open up the pores so I can get all the gunk out. Cold water to finish works as a toner but without the drying effects. It matters to find the right combo that works for you. Maybe the oil you are using is too heavy and you need something lighter. Or maybe you aren't cleaning the oil off enough. Take your time with it & let me know what works.
