I think the blade on the sword was probably blunted. This was not a very controlled test, i would of thought it would give a bit more resistance, but it is aramid kevlar I suppose, which is not the best cut resistant material. Stab resistance and cut resistance are 2 very different things. You can get puncture resistance encorporated into cut resistant clothing though for true stab resistance you want a stab vest as well.

its "slash resistant" not "stab resistant". The two styles of attacks are different. One exerts pressure on a specific point to puncture, the other causes lacerations.

.. thats why they use carbon-kevlar .. carbon nano-tubes are stronger than khevlar in every apsect! Zylon is also stronger than kevlar. Dyneema is also stronger than kevlar. kevlar will stop a bullet but not a knife !!!

well i dont know about silk being stronger, i got atrands of kevlar from fiberoptic wire...and i took small strand and it held more than 30lbs, and cannot rip it with bare hands or it will cut you, i neveer tested silk but im telling you a reference to compare, not trying to prove you wrong

explain to me why i am retarded?? kevlar shatters bullets -but it can tear easily and isnt stab resistant.....Kevlar has a high "tensile" strength- and it is 5 times stronger than steel(only on a weight2weight ratio and if we used weight to weight ratios for strength spider webs would be the strongest thing on earth )-but stell is much more stab and tear resistant obviously.....as well as carbon fiber...to make kevlar tear and stab resistant it need to be mixed with carbon.

If you have watched any other videos about these kevlar garment you see that the knifes cut trough the black cloth, but bot the yellow Kevlar layer. You guys didn't even manage to cut the cloth!
