By the way - the last seizure I had, my wife grabbed her phone and recorded it for me. I told her I always wanted to see what I looked liked. She obliged me. Kinda freaky to see me doing that.
I understand what you're saying about having to take tons of pills to "live" a normal life. No one gets it until you lived it. I admire the girl who put it on here and I admire you for posting your thoughts. I've had epilepsy since I was 24 - almost 20 years now. Ignore the rude comments. People are stupid. Let them have just one seizure (not that I'd wish that on anyone) but they'd shutup real fast.)
I'm 24. I've had 6 Grand Mals since '07. :( Boo. I'm on 2 meds (was on 3). I feel like an old lady (no offence) because I have a huge pill case! But seizures are the pits. Not only do you have the actual condition but then you have the side effects- no driving, tons of pills(along with their side effects!), fear of falling out any moment, questions, dr. visits etc. So for everyone out there, hang in there! Be strong! You're not alone. Peace <3 & epilepsy! lol. Thanks Angelica for ur vid :)
No one knows unless you've gone through it I wouldn't wish a seizure on anyone. It totally changes you mentally and the more you have the more it changes who you are or that's how they are for me. I've totally lost my ability to drive, work, socialize with people because I'm stuck at home all day every day unless I'm going to the doctors. It's horrible!
@pooh2b It's not the end of your life. I found out I was epileptic three days before I was supposed to start my freshman semester of college, but even though i went through several months and years of hardship I've excelled. You cant change your situation, you can only change your attitude about it. Focus on the positive in your life and live it to ur fullest. You can always get a seizure alert dog too!
I have simple partial, comp partial, and tonic clonic. My tonic clonics happen in my sleep. I have broken my teeth all to heck in the back by grinding them. I am on four different meds plus an emergency med if my comp partials turn into clusters that don't stop. My epilepsy started when I was 21 for no reason and I have only had 3 bad EEGs in all that time (19 yrs) It took them 14 yrs to diagnose me and my last doctor almost killed me. I am grateful for every breath I take. God Bless You.
@Ravenspoetry333 I totally understand I have all 3 types of seizures too. It's very hard for most people to understand Complex Partial seizures. I had surgery 3 years ago, it reduced the frequency, but did not eradicate them. God Bless you all. Life can be great!!
its really not fake its really serious i am 11 years old and my dad had seizures he was walk by the pool and fell in cause he was having a grandma seizure and he passed away cause he had water in his lungs thats nothing to play around with !!! R.I.P daddy i love and miss you ♥♥♥
I totally agree with you. I have de ja vu feelings (aura's) before i have a seizure. I HATE THESE FEELINGS. I watched that video also of Christine, and was crying. It breaks my heart to see this. My seizures are not that bad, but they are hard to live with. The medication, like you said, makes it hard too. They make me sleepy and tired all day. God bless you!!
i have epilepsy as well and was diagnosed 14 years ago with grand mal seizures.
With all the tests and different drugs that have been tried out on me...the one thing that has always bothered me was the jokes, the misunderstanding and the complete lack of knowledge from others about this condition.
it is great to see someone explaining the personal feelings of someone with epilepsy and not using it for shock value.
1500 mg of Lamotragene for me every day. I know what you're talking about and I don't appreciate it when people take seizures lightly or use them as a joke. It pisses me off to no end.
do you still have seizures even on the medication i to have seizures. i currently take one 400mg tablet of carbamazepinum. since i started taking them i have not had one. i also dont drink alchol or coffee cus that can also lead to a fit. best regards YTFCGIANTS
There are different types of seizures that pot may not affect. The one seen in the video before this is known as a Tonic Clonic (Grand Mal) seizure. Pot may work on that person because of their specific type of seizures. I have Myoclonic Seizures, so it may not work on me either. Electrical storms within the brain during a seizure can appear in different regions. And since nobody's brain is the same, not ALL medication will work for every person. That's why not everyone can do it
Thank you for voicing your opinion. I too have epilepsy, but on the mild side. Although, nevertheless, its a challenge to deal with regular life issues when it feels like no one understands you, especially at my age.

If somebody says this is "fake", then they need to get a reality check.

Thank you for your voice. I highly suggest staying away from vaccines and predatory fish (mercury). Shellfish is best to consume.
