I remember being blown away by Cedric from At The Drive-in or by Dennis from Refused because of the way they moved during a set... But this... This is where they got it from. And to think...I was seven when FUGAZI was playing this show.Goddamn.
I will always love and respect Fugazi. But now I respect them even more, especially Guy. Since he had the wherewithal to dance all the way through that seizure he was obviously having during this song. Even epilepsy can't keep a good man down.
Joe Lally plays AFF in Genk-Belgium, and it's a FREE concert. On our bill also The Virginmarys (UK), Spokes (UK), The Phantom Band (UK) and many more. Check kissmyaff.be. !
I've danced like guy my whole life. I was always made fun of for it, but now I'm more proud than ever. And fugazi is of course my preferred dancing music.
I saw Fugazi in 1987 at the weinberg Center in Frederick Maryland. They played with Jeff nelson's three , Fire Party, and Ignition and local band Why. What a Show that show was documented but only the drummer of why has the footage. i wish it was on here. my father shot the video of the concert. 5 bucks to get in what show. those were the days.
HA HA HA.. how about when he falls over... ha ha.. then he trys to be cool like=nick cave or jagger or iggy or the who.. but he just fuckS up the mikestand flick.. and headbutts the foldbk .. then he cant sing and whams the floor.... it looks like hes really Zoolander does ALT roCkSchOoL.....
Guy is a freakin legend. Anyone that can have a video game character based off him is +1 in my book. If only Final Fight Guy could pull off those dance moves (and sing and play like him).
Yeah. Everything about Fugazi just completely blows my mind: Every single album, the ethics, the sense of humour (there's a 45 minute clip of Fugazi stage banter out there somewhere), videos of live performances - everything about Fugazi just blows every other band out of the water, completely. I am devastated I never got to see them live.
you know post hardcore/metalcore used to be kinda cool with bands like botch big black and fugazi, but now a days if you look up post hardcore its now all this screamo/emo shit how did that happen? at one point i wanted to say my band was posthardcore but then i would be labeled with shitass screamo bands also metalcore used to be awesome with bands like machine head and botch now it's shit like avenged sevenfold and trivium
