OH, how I loved Ms. Annisteen. Her renditions of "Tea for Two" and "Baubles, Bangles, and Beads" are so lush and sweet, and two of my favorites, along with "Let It Roll."
I hung out at her Harlem apt. once while she was having one of those down home folks card games with some of her ole show biz friends. I never laughed so hard in my life. Just watching those folks being themselves was so much enjoyment. I had a ball and truly miss her.
They removed the one that had actual video of Annisteen Allen, Lucky Millinder and the band doing this number. Bummer.
