  • I was lucky enough to work at the London Ale House in the summer of 79.

What a great summer it was! Thanks to the Diefenbachs and Witness for the wonderful memories!

  • I can't believe this was 31 years ago !! I remember how difficult this was to play on the Wurlitzer piano. The action wasn't very smooth. My tempo was all over the place but I have mellowed with age !!

  • jgel...The dude was 19. Cut him a friggin break..You pompous ass.

  • Give him a break jgelhaar, that's very good!

  • I thought Michael L used mostly Ensoniq

  • i tried to learn this song! its really hard. and YES I HAVE A WURLITZER piano. it is pretty much impossible. kinda sucks but what're ya gonna do

  • He doesn't play completely in time and he misses a lot of notes. Notice how the C-G-C in the beginning (right hand) isn't even in synch with the beat. Perhaps he can't keep up with the 3 over 4 changes? I'm not sure. The keyboard has nothing to do with the ability to play in time...

I don't think this very good. I have a version of RBR in my medley video that is much better.

Still it's pretty sweet to watch an old school video like this. Thanks for posting.

  • 150 BPM.

  • You may be right on that one!! He switched to an upright shortly after that video, then finally to a "portable" Yamaha Baby Grand which he kept for a very long time.

  • That isn't a Rhodes, it is a Wurlitzer ;)
