i dont think there way better my freind has 2 hp 12's and hes running 1250 to them each and there a 1000w max sub and they wont blow but they seem to be a varry dependable sub and sound incredible they about shake his whole hundai sanata apart lol but i think the h2's wer what the hcca is now on like levels of badassness but the h2 is probly a better sub than the hp but not too much better
im not being mean but theres a couple things wrong here. facing the sub towards the front decreases the sound wave which doesnt make it sound good. facing it towards the trunk makes the sound wave bounce off the trunk which forces it to basicly turn towards the front which increases the soundwave and will therefore be louder. and getting thicker power cord will increase sound, such as a 0 guage wire and also thicker speaker wire. all this will increase ur bass so u can piss people off more lol

won't work i do believe not rippin on you, but if it's a sub amp is should have a low pass limiter restricting the treble and mid range speakers, im not pro i dabble i have a mrp-m1000 and my typer r's are coming soon, lol basically i think you need a separate 6 channel amp for the other speakers
not 4 or zero gauge speaker wire...maybe 12 or 8 guage. you jus need that big wire for the amp. he is not making that long of a run either from the amp and sub.
A D-5000 and 2500D is the same amp, just a different model year. If you need a better amp I am on team sundown and would really recomend you check out the SAZ-3000Ds.

Put a DMM (digital multimeter) up to each coil seperatly to see what is wrong they should both read in at 2ohms, if not the sub will not be much good to you. Good luck either way. If you need a good amp to run them off of I would suggest a 2400d or a 5000d if it is in your price range

I would say anything in the 30hz range is great, once it drops below 30hz then its just okay. But really who plays any songs with that low of bass notes. most the time you will see 20hz range is with swipes or single tones.
Well if your looking for a great SQL sub I would stand behind it for sure, unfortunatly they stopped making them but the new orion HCCA is a killer sub too.
This is a SQL setup. Also Orion recomends nothing but sealed on there subs even their new HCCA. I currently have a 6.0cuft box tuned to 32hz in my truck for an MT and 2 2500ds. So when I want it really loud I have it there.
I had the MT as a 12, im reconing it currently to a 15 with 1.4 ohm dvc. IT was crazy loud as a 12 im sure it will be even better as a 15. I love it for a spl sub but it has nothing for quality.
got my 2500d the other day. hope you can answer a ? for me? i have 3 kicker L5's series/parallel to 1.3ohms. on the amp do the wires go on the far leftside + & rightside - to bridge? i see that your are wired in the middle leftside - & rightside + any help would be appreciated.

i have the same orion 2500D on the way. shouldn't both your grounds & power inputs be used? i see you are only using 1 of each. i heard you should use both or there might be a problem.
That was my old setup as I am currently building my new one. A single 4ga positive and ground is enough to power that amp. I wouldnt use the second power inputs unless you plan on running that amp below 1 ohm. My new setup will be under .5 ohm so I will use both power supplys.

they were 6 ohms per coil.. i don't know what's wrong.. maybe the dmm was set to the wrong setting to check the ohmage.

There good but if you want to go with an orion I would say go with there new HCCA 15.2 its a lot nicer. Good SQL woofer for a reasonable price.
