often I see all the text at once all over the screen, it stays the whole time in front of the video which plays normally but I am unable to see it because the text is blocking the image. Anyone having the same problem?
Hi Alex, i learn 3 days with u video.. the ayub and the baladi is no problem..but the malfuf woow its very fast.. in the slow u play doum ka ka tek ka ka slap ka. but if u play fast i think u play doum tek tek doum tek tek doum tek.. i m right? or i c wrong?
@dandun1900 the advanced version is dum ka-ka slap ka-ka slap ka :)
you gotta do the slap only with your finger tips and bend your fingers down in a certain angle to make the slap effect :) the dum is done with the flat hand and is hit either with the whole hand or with the fingers only
Hi Alex, you're such a good doumbek player. I was wondering if you could answer a question for me? At the end of this clip you talk about practicing your "chops." What do you mean by that?
You are so fast! How did you get so fast? Any pointers?
dude your soo awsome, as soon as u went full speed i was like "aww man thats awsome" and the look on your face was like "yeah im know im awsome" love it!!
gah! full speed is too fast! but I'm going to share these with my renfaire guild. we play gypsys and some are better on the doumbeks than others (most are better than me :)
Hey Farzin, this is the video that John showed us the other night. I've been working on the simple rythm since last night. But the second one is a killer! lol

You should reshoot this video using a middle eastern split finger technique instead of the Syrian double Ka method.
