I had a friend who had the TI-99/4A & used to play Burger Time almost every day on it. I forgot what other games he had. I think he had one called Sabotage, though that may have been an Apple II-E game.
But it's been ages since I last saw this version of Burger Time. Thanks for putting this up. I had so much fun playing it back in the day. I plan to get the arcade board someday. I'd love to find the cassette of Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory (the sequel to Burger Time) but it's very rare.
NIce video. I have a question though. I have come across the opportunity to get a TI-99/4A with disk drives, speech synth, expansion port, controllers, a expander that can hold three carts at once and some games and the software, all the hookups and a few other items for free, for absolutly nothing and there is nothing wrong with it.Would you consider it worth it or do you think it would not be worth it to get it.
This looks really great. The only criticism is that the music continues to reset everytime you touch a burger piece. Other than that, this looks to be one of the best classic versions.
They didn't go bankrupt, they just quit making home computers. They are still around making processors for TVs and cell phones, and they also make calculators.
I totally forgot about this game. I used to play this a lot.

I actually think this is surprisingly good considering the limitations of the system. It looks like a much better port than the C64 version.

It's really irritating when the music is interrupted by the sound effects!

@tml4873 it wouldn't be so bad if the music continued on from the same spot it was interrupted from instead of restarting every time

How can it not be worth it if it's free? What the hell? If it doesn't work, throw it away. It cost you nothing

Yea the sound chip in it had a lot of limitations where if you wanted to change one of the 3 or 4 voices it had you had to reset it.

Wow! I almost forgot about Texas Instrument Computers. Didn't they go bankrupt in 1983?

eurasian73, you may want to do some research first before making such a comment. It was Commodore that filed for bankruptcy in April 1994.
Texas Instruments is still making calculators and chips for the government. :D
