  • Hello sir. first how old is your friend, and what treatment is under going now. do i have any video of that. for me its almost now 2 years . i am not 100 % cure but yes i am doing my normal life routine very well. 100 % is very rare to cover . i say i am now 80 % cured . but this GBS come fast and recovery is very slow. but it will recover for sure

  • My friend has gbs he stayed in hospita about 2month but he got it verry bad it destroid his nerve system in 24 hour he cant move any thing exepet his nick verry difical and now its bean about 6 month and no change yet

  • Let's all be strong...it is only us who can help ourselves...I just got released last Sept. 18, 2011 from a 5 days stay at the hospital. I was given IVIg. I can walk slowly, better with a walker, my hands are weak. I accepted the fact that this is a long recovery period so I guess my advise to anyone who has this is to be strong and don't feel sorry for having thi condition. We will recover...k guys....

  • @baesa1986 Hi this is Joe... i was stuck with GBS on 21 Dec 2010..i was in ICU for a month and Ventilator for 14 days and i was treated with IVIG for 7 days..After spending a span of 85 days in hospital i went home. After that i started my physiotherapy n rehabilitation and started to improve a lot.. i joined back office in July and i can say i recovered almost 80% from a complete paralysis stage.. now i can walk with the support of crutches and hoping to walk on my own soon...

  • tambem passei por isso e sei o quanto é dificel qualquer esforço muscular... Amigo vc vai ficar bom ! boa sorte !!!

  • I had the same.I was 7 weeks in the hospital and i was 7months under rehabilitation. (28.07.2008)

  • @DirtyCrossMX SO how you are doing now. i am very much back to normal not 100 % but doing my normal life good. but every day i had muscles craps on my both legs. that hurt me lot i dont know what to do. i daily go for swim that help me a lot to get back. i will upload me new video soon.

  • @deveshrshah

I’m also not normal 100%. I have still some problems, because I can’t move my foot like before. But I ride a bike,I swim and I must say,it is going to be better.

Also I don’t feel much in my right leg, because because not all nerves are completely healed

P.s. Sorry for my bad English^^ I'm from Italy,so I speak more German and Italian.

  • Dont dispare I've had GBS four times during my live, the second time I was in an oxygen tent. Whilst at the time you feel there is little hope and think you are the only one in the world going through this ordeal you will get though it. You must stay strong, have faith, keep the hope that another day brings better outcomes. I am 52 now and continue to have a rewarding working life.even though GBS gave me epilepisy which was removed through Brain surgery recently. I never gave up. regards BSH

  • @bh1529 i had my GBS attack at the end of March this year. I can get around pretty well after 1 week in hospital and four weeks in rehab. I can walk but not jump or run.

Some nerves in my hands and arms are the slowest to heal. Still, I feel that I have been very lucky. I cannot imagine going through it again.

  • i'm glad you a doing so well. my friend was diagnosed with this on wednesday and is still paralyzed. we're just waiting patiently.

  • Yaing---Solumedrol in a Steroid but you can't tell by the sound of it.

I was diagnoses 14 months go.

I see that @deveshrshah walks as I do-the wide stance so as no to fall down !

You are also doing so well getting on the floor, and going over to the bed and getting on the bed congratulations

I couldn't get down on the floor and when helped , to get down, I had a very bad time getting up.

My legs feet hands and arms hurt so badly, and I had to take opiates to be able to move..
