Thaipusam Festival 2011 in Malaysia by Capturing Penang

Penang thaipusam is the most wonderful festival in the world. so colorful, happening and fun. i had friends from india, other state of malaysia, erope, usa. all of them come & sd that this is remarkable. i'm volunteer 4 d silver chariot. thousnd of people come to take teebaratanai to lord muruga and get his blessing. alot of my wishes comes true when i ask lord muruga. in penang we called him as taneermalaiyan since he is residence at taneermalai. The old hill top tmpl stil can be visited.

Hi @xavierdavidjohn, thanks for sharing your experience of Thaipusam in Penang! These clips were all shot over a period of three hours along Jalan Dato Keramat (Road), so as you know, this video only gives a short glimpse of this amazing three day festival. But I hope we captured the energy of the festival in the two minute video.
