The 'ol Fox had a new way of foolin' 'em. He knew how the angle of the sun could

blind a driver at the time of day that the race usually ended, especially going into

turn 3. Pearson had a special tint job done to the windshield of his Mercury, with it

all tinted except for a single area low down on the left side. David spotted that slow

car before they entered turn 2, and kept lower than normal on the backstreach so

Cale wouldn't notice him. As Cale made his inside move, Surprise!

I was there. I was 15 and this was my 9th race since july of 74. Used to love going to the big track. Such wondrful memories. Thanks for the video.
