  • Looking to purchase college textbooks and I have a iPad. Any information on which is the best for textbooks.

  • ezpdf 1.4 + free pdfs

  • What about epubs ???

  • A dog issue hahaah, this guy is awesome

  • but Aldiko is the best!

  • Nook let's you side load books. Amazon does not. Nook reads ePub, Amazon does not.

  • Do either of these support text-to-speech?

  • don't like the dog ears and like the page turn graphic, why not just buy an actual book?

  • I think that the nook color is way better than the kindle. U can actually get some apps know!!!!!

    BOO KINDLE LOVERS

  • I'm about to enter e-book reading... thanks for this video pal

  • MOON+ Reader Pro .....all other apps dont come even close to it in terms of custopmisation options and abilities

  • Kindle

  • Hi,

I have just purchased an Android tablet and downloaded the Kindle. I too would love to see the page animation, but with this tablet, I DO have the scrollbar to rifle through the pages. Thanks for this video, I am looking for comparisons. Cheers

  • heyyyy i have a question t my 3rd gen kindle i just got it yesterday but i can only put pdf files bec uz when i putt word it doesnt read it please helpp

  • Hahahaha, it's pretty funny that you're nitpicking on virtual dog-earing pages. Lol, no disrespect, I'm the same way with real books, I always use bookmarks.

  • NO HIGHLIGHT/ANNOTATION/DICTIONARY LOOKUP?

  • @fyrogenesis I know that the Android Kindle app has all these features, can't speak for the Nook app.

  • The new NOOK app update leaves Kindle even further behind

  • Dude, its not an actual piece of paper...I think the dog ear will be okay

  • I thought you were joking about the dog ear thing... but really, it's a digital book, and why do you want a book mark covering some of the text as you scroll by? I am sure you want to touch it to disappear, but why bother? Also, the kindle app has the same scroller in the bottom to quickly take you to other parts of the book, and even tells you the percentage of the book. I think maybe more time should be spent on using the apps before posting a video comparing the two.

  • iBooks rule! Awesome store (in app), very stylish bookshelf, and the page turning is the same as in nook. And it's from apple so I like it because I am a apple fan. (I know you review WPhone and Android, but still...)

  • @fililoll2000 apple fanboy they just ripped off kindle and nook and ibooks has WAY less books than nook and kindle

  • "I bought the book, I should have the book." YES.

  • Options and openness is the way to go!

  • Dude... the dog ears. Chill. I hate them too, but this isn't a real book, it's just an indicator. Some points that were just glided over: The Kindle allows for different background colors (white, sepia, black) and font sizes. The Nook allows for 8 different fonts and sizes, but only white background. The sepia setting on the Kindle is much easier to read. The Kindle loads a lot faster and takes up less space. The Nook is slow, takes a lot of space, but has a better UI. The sepia sold me.

  • @TorVez1 Very good points! thanks for that!

  • you have got a dog issue.

  • why cant all these book apps run in a dedicated format??? where any reader can open it up.. soo if someone buys the book from amazon, they can read it on any other book reader, like the way mp3 and mp3 players are..

  • @midgetman433 EXACTLY!

If I buy a hardback book from Amazon, I can read it in B&N.

If I buy a CD from Amazon, I can play it in a Sony CD player.

If I buy a DVD from Walmart, I can play it on my XBOX, PS3, set-top DVD player, or even in my computer.

    WHY can't I do this for anything that I buy that's ~downloaded~?

    DRM #FAIL!

  • @midgetman433: The problem is that Amazon own the mobi format it uses and noone else uses it. Most books from everyone else use the ePub format.

  • haha he looks kinda sad in the beginning of his vids. but he does a good job

  • @jagjagin "I'm not dead yet... I feel happy! I feel happy!"

  • well, from the looks of it Nook looks good. But I still don't have an android phone and will be buying one next month. Hopefully you will have a great review for EPIC 4G and will give it a double thumbs up to make it easier for me to buy one without thinking twice ;)

  • wow you guys dont have any subscriber really do you.

  • @lghomevideos More then you. Though most of their users see these vids on their page.

  • I don't really use ebooks at all, but from what I heard you can actually lend ebooks with the nook software which is pretty cool, since that is something people do with real books all the time.

  • @zsmorr92 That's a very good feature that I ~entirely~ forgot to cover!!! Thanks for bringing it up!

  • @zsmorr92 You can only lend a book ONCE, and you can only lend like 1 book a month. It's not as amazing as you think it is.

  • Love the vid last
