To force Dodd to have to answer to Peter Schiff for the duration of a campaign would serve the dual function of gaining massively more exposure to both Dodd's errors and Schiff's Austrian perspective. Remember this is a state whose GOP leadership threw their own candidate under the bus when Lieberman ran as an Independent after losing to Lamont in the primary.
