  • just as a base line what would build 1 cost so that some us who are a little slower then most will have an idea.

  • i have like a 400 dollar limit does anyone kno if i could get a descent gaming computer for that

  • @ThePsYcHoTiiC honeslty bro no i would save up a couple hundred and there actually are some nice gaming computer already built on newegg.com from like 600-700 that can run battlefield 3 skryrim call of duty and crysis blah blah on high or atleast decent settings (medium settings on battlefield 3 is like a xbox or ps3) thats your best guys on something that would be worth it than just blowing your money on something thats really not great. just be patient and get more money you will be happy! GL

  • will a windows 64 bit SP1 OEM work for a build???? please someone answer!

  • Network interface card or LAN!

  • Thanks for this video!!!! I just finished building my computer, and I had absolutely no problems thanks to you. Newegg is awesome!

  • Fuck every browser but FIreFox :D

  • @dzilla1991 :( why not say all browsers are good in their own ways but firefox seems to work the best for what i want it to do :)

  • @petaboil Imma straight up say im one sided on the matter. lol. naw but all the browsers work. I just like firefox with adblocker plus to much to use another browser.

  • the only flaws in this video is that when you are installing windows onto a computer with 2 hard drives you DO NOT have to unhook the second one, because your first hard drive will always be on top during the format option and you will not have to format the second drive when windows is done!! And number 2 you said that by default windows will not play dvd's that is wrong windows media player and windows media center will both play dvd's fine but other than that very good job on the tutorial's

  • chrome is for noobs

  • I'll just buy one.

  • awesome video series. thanks paul and newegg!

  • Hands down, the best 3 videos on youtube

  • if I have an ssd and a hdd, and I want to use the ssd just for programs and the system, do I also need to make a partition?

  • Very good. Useful info to know for people who are considering build vs. buy. Even if they are not building themselves. At least they can see what they might get from a retailer vs. a customizer. Folks I know are much more satisifed with custom built rigs than off the shelf ones. Less bloat, more bang for the buck, greater room to grow.

  • This is a very good tutorial, better then the other ones I have seen.

    Thanks for the helpful video!

  • first thing to do once you have LAN drivers: Use IE to install Mozilla Firefox 10

  • Subscribed, what a wonderful job!

And yes, when I saw that BIOS i had a heart-attack, that was wonderful :P

  • Great Job!

  • wait can i use wireless internet to get drivers someone please tell me D:

  • @bananakiller21 Most of the time, on a new fresh Windows, you'll need to install the wireless network card's drivers first. If it is on your motherboard, your motherboard's drivers CD will probably have an installtion for it, otherwise with a seperate card that'll have a CD.

  • can you use the windows 64 bit for more then 1 computer

  • @ps3gamer107 No.

  • 16:33

  • BIOS with a GUI. Now I've seen everything.

  • How do I make it so I don't have to enter the Bios to start up Windows, I use an Asus Maximus extreme 4, I have to enter the Bios everything in order to boot from my main driver. Also running into a Blue screen/crash when I overclock when I restart my PC it tells me Overclock failed anyone can help me with this. I run SWTOR very good with normal settings and push 60+ Fps in warzones and fleet so Overclocking not really needed Just wondering.

  • i hate that intro music lol

  • shit man, i just bought me parts for a new rig for the first time but i my case (antec) doesn't have any disk drives. how am i supposed to install an operating system w/out being able to boot it up from a cd...not to mention, it's a brand new hard drive, so booting up from that won't help any.

  • @aaronh250 Gotta buy a disk drive, Cases will not come with one. I just built my first one also, but getting a disk drive is always a must.

  • dude youre helpful thanks

  • It is strange. I had connected both HDD I have, went through process, and it said in the Driver Managment it was reading both fine, but it didn't pop up in the Computer. What's the problem?

  • @TheRiseofXray it might just be unallocated space on the second drive which windows cannot read... if i remember correctly ( gentoo user :-/ ).. i think u have to format it or create a partition.... your using win7 ?

  • @androidjunkii Hmm yes I am using Windows 7....how do I format or create a partition?

  • @TheRiseofXray well if its not showing up in "My Computer", ide suggest download partition wizard (ITS FREE) to verify its even connected and you can format/partition it with the program

...if all else fails verify both sata (power and data) cables are connected

  • @androidjunkii Thanks a lot mate I will try that soon :D

  • also. you can tell that they are pros cause they downloaded the Firefox before even downloading the drivers.

  • That BIOS is sexy and it knows it

  • First thing to do once you have your LAN drivers: Use IE to install chrome.

  • @baozer900 Damn straight.

  • @baozer900 or better yet firefox

  • @baozer900 LOL It's top comment!

  • I lol'd every time he tried plugging in a USB the wrong way.

  • Will you guys make a vid featuring the new AMD FX series CPU's?

  • how do you install mac on it?

  • Does it matter in which order I install the drivers?

  • @B3tter0ffDead no but it is probably best u install the chipset one first.

  • this is the best video ive seen from NEWEGGTV so far

  • The asus motherboard that i'm ordering does not give a USB driver on the web site. Does this mean I do not need USB drivers to use it?

  • @StickyBunz4U it might be bundled in with something else (chipset maybe)! try seeing whats on the disk

  • Paul, why are you awake so early?

  • @XxiTechzxX maybe not heavy / ultra setting gaming but it may play most on normal or low...checkout the spec requirements for the games on their page... try to get a laptop fan/cooler mat too :-)

  • ya we will read the license terms rightttttt.

  • Fuck you, the case does need drivers! XD

  • @DJVenuspect In all technicality... it does... Optical "Drives" Hard"Drives" :D

  • built my first PC, dude thanks

  • Wow... out of "16 million geeks" (on his shirt) this is the one that studderedthe least????

  • Very nice computers man!! Thanks il build one in a year or 2. Btw I'm 11

  • @cnishow27 No you won't, I hope you ave your pennies, these cost a lot.

  • Great 3 part series - very thorough & very helpful! Thank you for taking the. Time to make this video

  • This help me whith my pc :)

  • @TheNoobySpartan Yes you can change it later on, if the motherboard supports the new CPU.

  • When ever I get to the windows install page my keyboard mouse and all the lights in my computer shut off...

  • after installing the processor and applying the thermal paste and all that, later can you change the processor?

  • Hey guys, I am very new to building my own PC. I just had a quick question before I did this, I'm going to be using my old hard drive with the new PC I am building and the old hard drive already has Windows installed. Will the new PC just load the Windows that is already on the hard drive, or do I have to format my drive and install windows on boot of the new system?

If anyone could answer, it would be greatly appreciated :)

  • @UltimateUnknown

Give it a shot, but back up your stuff just incase it doesn't work or you'll just have to format it and install a fresh copy which will be no problem even though there is data in there. Good luck.

  • I feel bad for people that just buy a pre-built system. They are missing out on all the fun of building your own system!

  • @KeithCHoffman but they're not know how to build a pc so they're not bad.. But seriously, I think if somebody don't know how to build a pc, they'll waste their money to buy a suck computer and then they'll feel dispointed..

  • @KeithCHoffman + they may SOL when time passes and its time upgrade things... CPU sockets change like the climate lmao

  • i have install a 32bit system in my system, but i wanted to try the 64bit so i can use all 8Gb of ram. When i boot the 64bit after a few minutes it crashes and it shows the blue screen. Anyone know why does this happened? i install the 32bit on C drive and the 64bit on a partition. i can tell my rig if any1 needs info

  • @x2xHalox2x Motherboard is 790FX-GD70

    Phenom x4 955

    2x2GB + 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM

    HIS 4670

    500GB HDD

    600W

I bought this set up in newegg in 2009, so still a running good. I'm not sure if i should have a complete re install of x64 bit so i get rid off 32bit. i'm using win7 Ultimate. pls waiting for some advice. (i want to run 64bit)

  • @x2xHalox2x I highly recommended you re install of x64 bits because it is very useful for something. But you may need to backup you file or something in your computer (I mean you need to backup some important things.)

  • @simona323201 i will reinstall the 64 bit in a partition again. Others have mention it may b due to some of my driver not supporting 64bit. however i have tried to update my drivers in 64bit but it wont let me.... ima reinstall n keep u updated tomorrow. ty

  • I have an Intel 120GB SSD and a 2TB Caviar Black...I formatted the WD, but it's still not showing up in My Computer...any suggestions?

  • A guide on how to build a computer and he builds in wrong! Wheres the *nix bro??

  • i went through the whole installation of windows and everything but windows will not connect to the internet. Ive made sure that the internet cable is plugged in correctly and everything. Help?

  • @TheMexicanSpaz gotta install the lan driver.

  • @AncientTales ah i see? I didnt think about that.First build. xD Well thanks!

  • @TheMexicanSpaz yeah good luck, you can find the lan driver online or in your motherboard driver disc. :)

  • Is it possible to download an Operating System (Windows 7 to say) to an USB drive on one computer then download the Operating System on that USB drive to a new computer? Or do I actually HAVE to boot from the disk DIRECTLY?

  • @l3E7Studios you need to boot from the install disk or an internal hard drive. some OS (like linux) can be installed from an external hard drive but as far as i know windows 7 can't.

  • They actually put Ubuntu on both of these. 19:14 proves it.

  • how about advast its free is it good to use

  • ok stupid question here, on the Corsair case what color is the HDD LED? I am building my first build and have already bought the case but was just curious as to what color that LED is.

  • @seanmannino Depends on the case dude. Usually cases have the same HDD LED are blue, always and I mean always, they can also be orange, but usually orange or blue. Don't know why, but doesn't bother me (use SSDs so never really see that activity light :D)

  • If the motherboard I'm installing is using a built in video card, I am not putting any other video card in it's a Intel HD 2000, do I need to find drivers somewhere?

  • @JoshWeinMusic intel.com

  • That's a fucking sexy BIOS...

  • @MrNomSauce yes thats a sexy bios =D

  • @MrNomSauce YES YES YES SO TRUE

  • How much did the two builds cost

  • hey can you make a vidow how to build a computer under 500

  • Just built my first PC using bits from Newegg and your guidance. Many thanks, it was fun and reasonably easy.

    G from Canada

  • Wouldn't it just be easier to use a driver program?

  • Do HDMI ports come working default? I have a moatherboard and video card that supplies HDMI but I don't know if it'll come working default.

  • When I turn it on nothing shows up but no signal, everything is hooked up right. Any help?

  • @tanjcal Either you discharged something, bent one of the pins, or have insufficient power for your computer (or the power supply discharged onto the hardware if you got a crap brand).

Either one can be the case, if you know FOR SURE, that it's none of them I suggest visiting a local computer store.

  • I'm installing windows ultimate onto my 240gb ssd and i have a 1tb hdd.

When I set up the max partition for windows on my SSD, does this mean I won't me able to install any of my programs/games on my SSD?

  • @SchafeyWafey i believe so. it may be best to only use the ssd as a boot drive and whatnot so don't worry about it

  • hhmmm

    windows: runs every thing

    ubuntu: FREE!!!

apple : great for studio production

  • @jdfatcatsam ubuntu:SHIT

  • @daflammablechicken Look up windows 7 home edition 64 bit. It'd about $99.99

  • Biggest lie in all of history "I accept the license terms"

  • Hey Paul, please send me that 650D PC you just built. PM me and I'll give you my address. It's okay, I'll pay for the shipping.

  • 33:00 I thought that windows 7 COULD playback DVDs by default? If it can't, what is I buy an OEM optical drive? How do I get the software?

  • @Roland0314 Same here. Does anyone know where to get the software?

  • @BLABLABLAFRIGGINBLA After doing some googling I found that windows 7 CAN play back DVDs via windows media center.

  • @Roland0314 they can play back DVD's NOT Blu ray.

  • I was the 222,222 viewer!

  • I was the 222,222 viewer!

  • what do i do if i dont have a hard wire connection but have a wireless usb adapter. for the internet

  • Y U NO LET ME STEAL YOU WINDOWS

  • I made one and it runs Mac but then I use d internet and it broke please help!!!

  • do you have to make a partion? and what does this mean if i choose the full size? will the windows take up all memory on my hardrive or just the amount it needs?

  • so if i order a computer from your website and i live in another country are you like going to change the PSU?

  • quick question, so for a great airflow; the front fan is an intake, the bottom on on the psu is intake, the rears are outs and the tops are outs?

  • kinda want his shirt :\

  • Could I use my hdtv for a monitor until I can get a real monitor?

  • @jakeb1997 yes you can but I actually want to know if there's a downside on using an HDTV as a monitor. because it has mixed reviews about it...

  • @jakeb1997 Yep, aslong as you get the right hdmi cable ,as in my graphics card is mini hdmi, so i have to get a mini hdmi to hdmi cable.

  • @RaiseTheFPS Sweet, thanks.

  • 8bits = 1byte.

Which means a 300 MegaByte per Second (300Mb/s) SSD is equal to 2400 MegaBits per Second (2400MB/s) SSD.

  • if you have a laptop with windows 7 op system is there a way to transfer it

  • Even the pros put USBs in wrong? D: hahaha

  • why does win7 cost so much? and one quick question, can i use my current laptops key to activate windows for an entirely new build?

  • @JeffreyRegistre cause they are greedy, and want as much money as they can get.

  • @samm565 yeah i needed to reinstall windows. Oh well.

  • @mattbell888 if your unhappy about microsofts prices and don't want to pay for Win7 again just download it. But if you don't like pirating Win7 Home Premium 64bit OEM costs AUD$100. The OEM Version is lots cheaper.

p.s I don't know if the activation key will work.

  • @samm565 No it reinstalled just fine. Just booted from the disc drive again right from the disc. I never went online, so the activation key was still valid.

  • @JeffreyRegistre Windows 7 ain't that expensive. Have you seen the prices when they first launched?

  • @l3E7Studios extra stress on "when they first launched", it is now not when they first launched and it costs $199 on Microsoft store.

  • @JeffreyRegistre but whatever, got no choice. btw, you can get it on newegg for $182.

  • I have a problem my boot drive and system drive are the same thing, and i only have a few gigs on there. I activated my other 500 gigs and made them E/, but will programs and stuff work if i install them there? Do i need to re-partition EVERYTHING?

  • @mattbell888 good question, somebody please answer.

  • 10:18 - Yeah sure I'll read that.

  • @iSometimesWriteMusic but what if it says "we can take one of your kidneys if we want"? would you agree to it then?

  • @wurtzkerry If that is what it takes to get past that damn screen, yeah. I can live without a kidney, but not without a computer!

  • Can anybody please help me?? I am using a HP G62 and I am trying to play the game: Amnesia

but I tell it to check for best settings and it just says that I have no graphics card installed. However when I go to the driver in my settings it says it is running fine. I have tried going to the HP site and to update my driver but it has not helped. Newegg, anybody please help!

  • @CanonLandscape Are you running on safe mode?

  • I live in trinidad and tobago in the carribean and I'm not too good with computer education but can anyone help me with an overall price of puchasing parts and drivers etc?

  • evertime i skip a part of the video he either says uh.. um.. and tada!

  • do u ship wordwide ? if u dont u should make it available worldwide u will be making a lot more money and acording to ur site ur prices r much lower than anywhere else would be a big help if u can ship items worldwide

  • Where can i buy PC components or order in USA.

  • @eagle120196 newegg. by far! one of the best online stores i've used in my 15 years of PC building. Tigerdirect is also good, but I would go with newegg.

  • @romerofan123 Thx man

  • why is it bad to do sli latter in? i was planning on doing that?

  • @Kole208 hes basically saying that by the time you get around to buying that second card, chances are it wont be available, or there will be better cards. I would recommend what paul said, or what you do is fine to. Just as long as you get the cards within about 2 months of each other

  • @romerofan123 so why would you need to get them withen two months of each other?

  • Does the motherboard have a wireless internet built in or do i have to buy something.

  • @imissmynut yes you will need to buy a wireless n adapter, which are actually quite cheap, 10 to 20 dollars

  • ha!!!!!! dont need it!! but funny man you funny 5:24

  • The best anti virus is common sense 2012.
