  • Fuck the 1980s, the 1990s was the best decade I say. The last decade before the 2000s crap. Everything died, music, quality television - even society in the UK has become a god awful mess.

  • am i the only that thinks gripper is really Hot :))?

  • @potnoodlelove no ur not. i do too! its his confidence!

  • @girlygirlyblonde no it isn't, it is just because he is good looking

  • grange hill 1983 dvd

  • Tucker was the best.

  • @000XxXMaisyXxX000 The only true hot person in Grange Hill is Tucker. Gripper looks like a skinhead.

  • Youtube "Headmaster ritual " by The Smiths and think of Grange Hill.

  • Com on Curly Just one little kiss for uncle Gripper...classic.

  • Mark who played Gripper is a mate of mine in Kilburn, London. He never made it big as an actor like Todd Carty or Sue Tully, but has done a lot of plays and indie films.

And he is a lot nicer than his "Gripper" character.

  • @leachim04 Stew pot says. Sorry in late Sir, got some beaver juice stuck up my nose.

  • @leachim04 She sat on Stew pots face to heal the wound. Lol.

  • @SymptomOfTheParanoid

LOL... Good one. He Could do far worse!

  • Sadly this is how teachers were in the old days - stupid and attacked kids for speaking out, which, along with smacking, is why there's so much violence these days

  • @WiccanHighPriest0

Strangely, now that they've banned the cane, the strap and smacking, there's a hell of a lot MORE violence these days.

  • @taitungknight take off your rose tinted glasses. There was LOADS of violence in the old days, much of it a result of kids doing bad things behind peoples backs because hitting taught them to hide their behaviour rather than address it. And taught them violence. And taught them confusing messages "What you hitting me for dad?" "Cus you hit someone!" WTF?

  • @taitungknight I used to get the slipper or belt across the backside when i was a kid, as did my brothers. We didnt turn out violent.

  • @WiccanHighPriest0 "along with smacking, is why there's so much violence these days" What on earth are you talking about!? Are you saying the main perpetrators of violence and crime now are the people in their late 30s/40s? That's the generation which watched this. The reason why there is so much violence is the absence of that kind of discipline and the ridiculous liberal approach in schools.

  • @DaveWBedford no you moron, I am saying that the main perpetrators are younger people, especially teenagers, and it's BECAUSE they are smacked instead of properly disciplined at home - their parents take the easy way out. You can make up whatever moronic nonsense you want but it doesn't change facts - it's well documented in research by professionals that smacking makes kids more aggressive.

  • @000XxXMaisyXxX000 you love a bullying potential rapist? I bet you have lots of luck with men... not

  • Mark Savage who played Gripper Stebson has recently made an appearance in an independent film called 'Total Reaction'. The independent film is made my Trinity X Productions and his role was a butcher! The trailers are on our channel!'

  • Uncle Gripper ya know.. Howling Out Loud!!!

  • Wish they'd still had Tucker & Alan they'd definetely finish Gripper & Denny for good

  • Raped by Gripper in the stock cupboard haha!

  • "Leave me go!"

  • I remember these days, in 1983, after school, with homework to do, and yet there was Grange Hill. I remember home cooked dinners, warnings from my mum that there was homework to do,John Craven's NewsRound, Ivor the Engine, and the fade from children's TV to adult reality.

The 1980s were the best time in modern history to be young. I feel sorry for kids today, lost in the corporate fray. Nothing is real for oneself. Everything must conform to the corporate fray.

  • U alost made me well up! I agree with everything u just said!school dinners too?remember? aghhhhhh love living in aus now...but miss soooo much the british kid inside lol!
