I remember these days, in 1983, after school, with homework to do, and yet there was Grange Hill. I remember home cooked dinners, warnings from my mum that there was homework to do,John Craven's NewsRound, Ivor the Engine, and the fade from children's TV to adult reality.

The 1980s were the best time in modern history to be young. I feel sorry for kids today, lost in the corporate fray. Nothing is real for oneself. Everything must conform to the corporate fray.
