Infact, the idea of Krishna is thought to been have copied by Christianity because of the various similarities between their stories. And visa versa: Christians argue that stories of Krishna were created when Jesus traveled to India during the years of his life that are not covered by the Bible.

I strongly feel that you come to India analyse the books (Bhagwad Gita etc.) You will come to know how old these books are as compare to the birth of christanity. I am not against any religion. However I am against religious conversion. How come christanity is superior to Hinduism or vice-versa, If God is one?
Very true to a degree, most of the arguements stem from a desire for power by those in charge of each. However there is a point for discussion and certian truths that certain revelations reveal, as each avatar of Vishnu or shiva brings us closer to the ultimate truth about god. The grand problem is some who hold up one avatar as the full truth ignoring the others and sometimes make an avatar- God, rather than seeing that Brahma is the ultimate God.

I however believe you'll find that Rama was an avatar of Shiva not Vishnu. Under hinduistic thinking you are correct, as they believe all the avators are aspects of the one true god Brahma.
I however differ from that belief, as I believe that the many different Avatars or gods of hinduism are actually all servants(angels or sprites) of the one true God Brahma. Some good- devas and some bad- Asures . Just to confuse it a bit more

@birampur From a comparative stand-point, I guess you can pretty much compare those two religious figures. However, in terms of teachings, well they are very different, Jesus taught there is one God, while Krishna emphasized the idea of the many gods being one.

@birampur: I am a graduate level religious studies student and both Krishna and Jesus are seculated to be the same person.
Infact, the idea of Krishna is thought to been have copied by Christianity because of the various similarities between their stories. And visa versa: Christians argue that stories of Krishna were created when Jesus traveled to India during the years of his life that are not covered by the Bible.

I strongly feel that you come to India analyse the books (Bhagwad Gita etc.) You will come to know how old these books are as compare to the birth of christanity. I am not against any religion. However I am against religious conversion. How come christanity is superior to Hinduism or vice-versa, If God is one?

Very true to a degree, most of the arguements stem from a desire for power by those in charge of each. However there is a point for discussion and certian truths that certain revelations reveal, as each avatar of Vishnu or shiva brings us closer to the ultimate truth about god. The grand problem is some who hold up one avatar as the full truth ignoring the others and sometimes make an avatar- God, rather than seeing that Brahma is the ultimate God.

I however believe you'll find that Rama was an avatar of Shiva not Vishnu. Under hinduistic thinking you are correct, as they believe all the avators are aspects of the one true god Brahma.
I however differ from that belief, as I believe that the many different Avatars or gods of hinduism are actually all servants(angels or sprites) of the one true God Brahma. Some good- devas and some bad- Asures . Just to confuse it a bit more

@birampur From a comparative stand-point, I guess you can pretty much compare those two religious figures. However, in terms of teachings, well they are very different, Jesus taught there is one God, while Krishna emphasized the idea of the many gods being one.

Learning about something means we have to find out for ourselves, & not just follow what "experts" tell us. Experts-those who no more & more about less & less. & Let's not forget the terrible hatred & bias created by experts, media, political special interest groups & corporations out for the blood.
