@wwood14 Underpowered? its got the same power at 100 yards as a .357 Magnum does at the muzzle! its a weak, blunt tipped bullet, the purpose behind that is that its weakness will not penetrate through a target, and the blunt tip means it will expand all of is energy inside the target, the resulting wound cavity is about 12 inches in diameter, thats the size of a basketball, which is instant death. The tradeoff is that its power is only good out to about 150 yards before the power goes way down.
@wwood14 I've taken down a 300 lb deer at 75 yards with my Carbine in a single body hit, easily enough to kill a human in 1 shot out to its inteneded range of 100 yards.

@bdcochran who gives a shit im shure people in ww2 did'nt wear eye protection you don't need it it's stupid to have unless you on a range with others close bye where there brass might fly in your face he's outside and the only one shooting so who cares hell it's just hot brass anyways it hits you you say ow there nd of story stop being a pussy.
@GUNS4MIKE1234 I had a sgt who would strongly disagree in basic... Had a .50 cal cook off when he went to clear a jam and now has shrapnel in his skull and a pair of goggles with a deep gouge in the eye pieces...
@vampire847 Ok and thats basic training sure maybe if im in a really sandy envionment or i'll wear sunglasses if it's sunny but im not gonna bitch to some guy on youtube because he is haveing fun on the range war im sure is very different then backyard shooting eather way it's a stupid arguement anyways since I was just replying to morons that get there panties in a twist because of it or hearing protection or w/e.
Anyone know how these mags work in an Auto-Ordnance carbine?
I've been trying to find some good 30 rounders for my carbine but none of them seem to fit right. The mag release wont latch on any of them that I've tried.
These are sweet rifles! I love mine,I'd recommend one to anyone. I've noticed that a few companies are produceing a lot of new "add ons" for these rifles since the election, like tactical stocks and scopes etc. You can update the look or even add a pistol grip! Its pretty hard to get ammo for it in my area though. What a great country we have!!!!!!
The M1 Carbine uses a round commonly referred to as the .30 Carbine (aka 7.62x33mm) and was specifically designed for this rifle. There are a couple of pistols which also use this round, but not many from what I've seen. You can look up ".30 Carbine" on Wikipedia for more detailed information on the measurements of the round.
I have a mini 14 as well and the barrel on mine is longer than here. Although you may be right, the magazine looks like the length of a mini 14, not an m1 carbine which I also own. It might just be a short barrel for the mini 14. Legal ???
Those keepshooting mags work quite well. I got some a while ago. The short barrel does look interesting.

Why the short barrel? What do you think of the 30 cal. as a bullet?? Is it terribly underpowered??

I never noticed how UGLY this gun is with a short barrel. Goodness it's like a short fal
RedDragonAirsoft 1 year ago
The barrel is short because it's a modified M1 Carbine made for jungle warfare in the pacific.

there are a few places that sell the proper catch for the M2 that will fit the M1 and they were designed for the 30 and 40 round clips.

The barrel on the carbine in this video looked really short. Was it a barrel off an enforcer or maybe modified by a gunsmith?
