A lot of classical music enthusiasts/purists are very protective about maining the integrity of the genre, which I understand. I myself studied classical music for 17 years. But on the flip side she made classical music and the violin (not what one typically thinks of as a 'sexy' instrument , unlike the guitar) very sexy and appealing. She's brought many young, new fans to the classical realm which is fantastic. She's not just 'fluff'; she has a very high degree of technical & artistical skill.
Sure, Vanessa-Mae deserves to be credited for all she did for classical music and music in general. She is so talented and skilled on the violin. Vanessa-Mae just blows me away with her incredible musical talent & eloquently articulate way of speaking. Plus she's gorgeous too. Here's someone who's a true role model, unlike some of the trashy starlets that Hollywood is spitting out nowadays.
I totally agree with htis nice comment. Vanessa-Mae is really a unique combination of being talented, smart and gorgeous. She definitley has substance, as musician and as a person.
BTW, I just LOVE her accent, very sexy! I think she'd probably sound just as appealing if she were reading from the phone book - there's something about the gentle lilt of her vowel pronunciation.
I agree, Vanessa-Mae has a very pleasant voice and a nice accent. I can't understand why some of her critics act so nasty about her; she is always so nice and friendly. Not liking her music is something and, of course, a matte rof personal preferences, but some critics have really taking it personally on her.
