  • @HEY8461 thats a youtube channel from a company called blendtec they are making videos about their blenders and blend almost everything from vuvuzella's to ipad's

  • I found 6 customers who where very frustrated over their purchase from the OCZ Z-Drive R2 p88

They complaining that they where very unreliable and some even died after being used for 2.5 months in a server

So not only bit expensive also still in development.

But I'm still a great fan of ocz because they are lifting computing to whole new level where we now only can dream of at the present day

  • 6500 pounds ...

  • What I need is a low cost SSD that fits in a normal PCI-e slot just like this one but at a fraction of the cost. Something that is on par with standard sata SSD that is aimed at users who need a fast but efficient paging drive.

  • @MrKillswitch88 what i need is a 999999 yottabyte usb 5000.0 quantum drive...but that will take some time

  • will it blend?

  • I can see whats coming next, the motherboard manufacturers will just start to build in memory directly onto the board.

  • Just curious,

Anyone try using one of these OCZ Z drives with Xenserver? Specifically in use with the provisioning server to push the VMs to?

  • can it beet the iram

  • Nice. Just finished testing the 1TB R2 version using SQLIO. 2 Threads screams but is a bit slower than the advertised speeds. 4 Threads is still fast. 8 Threads, read is still good @~1GB/s, write performance chokes 300-400MB/s. 16 Threads read performance is ~800MB/s, write is at ~200MB/s.

  • they should be called sssd

    solid state storage devices

because they contain neither a disk nor a drive

  • I will not pay more than...200€ for a 1TB SSD.

  • @Maxaker67 LOL 390€ for OCZ RevoDrive 120gb is cool !!! :)

  • There just capitalizing on the opportunity to charge huge cash on their shit.

Like back in the day you could get 8gig harddrives for $200 now you get a TB for a $100

Ram used to cost $50 for 4 gigs now it costs $100 what the hell is that? I swear it caused the economy to crash.

  • They are about $10,000 USD

  • @Adrianlunnon Pretty cheap, guess I'll have to wait on my Yatch for next month

  • @Adrianlunnon thats about 1/4 my mortgage payment, no biggie, one for everyone!

  • @Sol5t1c3 Give it a few years and these will be down to a good price, this 2TB version is currently £6770.00 GBP here in london, i reckon in 3 years time that iwll be down to £1500.00, then i might buy one :D

  • I'm totally drooling over the P88! I hope they won't put a stellar price tag on it
