Mercury racing standard 1075 package uses a BBC setup like you see here but with SMALLER 2.3 ltr roots styl Lysholm blowers. If you take the stock blowers off for some bigger 2.9 units you can get an easy 1270+ hp out of them. So this boat here with an an even bigger blowers and lower compression allowing more boost... 1500 HP each is cake.
u must not have seen barry zekelmans 46' custom skater with twin 1850hp sterlings then lol nd as far as i know sterling would be considered a big dog in the marine power industry, but the 40 skater comment was correct ive seen a 368 skater with twin 1500 hit 200mph at 2002 LOTO
is it someones job to make sure props are balanced and havin the right pitch and all that? who makes props? how are they made seems like something fun to do
never know, it just made me question since the c is nowhere near the i and if mistaken, i may second gues whether or not it puts out 3000hp, thats all. It certainly sounds built and blown I guess the 3000hp is reasonable, just sounds a little much from what those things normally push, i guess depends what kinda boost its running hmmmm?
yeah you read my comment "That dont sound like no 3000 HP" 1500 + 1500=3000 right. there both running at the same time, you make yourself look like a dumbass.
You can barely write the English language for fuck sakes... and somehow you think I make myself look stupid? READ THE SIDEBAR of the video: 2-600c.i. This means there are (2)two 600c.i. motors making 3000hp TOTAL in the boat / or 1500hp ea.) Everybody else got it but you, and I'm the dumb one? That's why you work on other peoples motors, and don't have shit of your own! And I doubt you build engines either, after seeing how you ask for help tuning your RC car motor on here... Fucking moron.
actually fuck you thats my cousins truck i put it on here so he could see if someone could help him out with his truck so fuck off, and i got shit of my own, im just to busy enjoying it to sit around on a computer and type negative youtube comments. P.S. there not marine motors
there standard small block chevrolets nothing marine about them exept there in a damn boat.
For cryin out loud... Havn't you taken enough abuse for opening up that stupid shit trap mouth of yours? Those are FAR from standard small block Chevys you inbred fuck. They are 600c.i., based on the 502 Chevy block, yes, which is a BIG block, and NO, they are not even close to being standard car motors, they are set up SPECIFICALLY for marine use, with special cooling systems and other measures so they will endure running wide open for long periods of time. Every time you talk, you look silly
If you really did have a 40' Skater w/ 1800's, it would probably run in the 200mph range, and you would have the fastest pleasure boat in the country... which I'm willing to bet is 110% BULLSHIT. No marine engine builder I know builds 1800hp motors, and I know all the big dog builders.
Does that boat really race?? With that much power it should run with Reggie's "cat killer". I'm looking forward to seeing the new Outerlimits P1 raceboat kick butt this year.

Read the statement... 3000hp TOTAL = 1500hp per side... Not that uncommon for high HP marine motors.

That thing is a little quieter than my 40 Skater with twin 1800's But those props are kick ass. Those engines sound like they are supercharged v8's
tjoyce26 3 years ago
Hell your 40 skater should have better props considering you have 1800's who built the engines for it.
