This was completely unecessary. This was one of my favorite shows and I will never watch it again. I am fed up with the politically correct b.s. It's ridiculous and I am fed up with having this shoved down my throat.
I think it was COMPLETELY necessary. We've known from day one that Sal is gay, and I was surprised and touched and saddened to realise, when he went for drinks with Mr Bel Jolie, that he hadn't acted on it - I thought he had a raging secret gay underworld life - and was too scared. Then when he married Kitty, and had the crush on Ken, and Scmidt came out... poor old Sal's had a tortured existence and it's about time he got some loving.
Why are people like you always phrasing it as 'being shoved down your throats' as if someone held a gun to your head and made you watch that scene? My god, you ARE pathetic!
Does saying shit like that make you feel or look like a victim or something? Cause it doesn't, it makes you look like a ignorant dumbfuck.
The bellboy was giving Sal the eye in the elevator on the way up. Sal must have noticed and subconsciously called about the AC in hopes of getting the bellboy alone.
On the airplane ride back to New York, Don discusses an idea he has for the London Fog account with the tag line "Limit Your Exposure." It was Don's way of telling Sal to be discreet.
Sal is married but the audience has known for some time that he has gay issues. This is the first time Don or anybody else on the show has known what's going. Matt Weiner, the creator and often writer, has presented this storyline very carefully. It's easily the best show on television right now.
because of this scene and the hype on Perez Hilton I decided to start watchng the show and downloaded season 1 episodes 1 to 6 so far. Anyone else a new fan?

politically correct just 'cause it has gay characters in it? That's not being politically correct that's being realistic.

Lolz what the hell was politically correct about a closeted man getting some action in a hotel room?

Funny how this show is full of sex between straight people. All you can bitch about is a short scene that happens to be gay. You're fucking pathetic.

Somehow, watching this on mute and playing Sussudio in the background just makes it so much better. Not that it needs music to begin with. ;)
