Was raised COGIC and unfortunately, it has changed. COGIC has always been the catalyst in the pentecostal movement; deeply impacting gospel. It seems that we have strayed away from the following: Holiness, Spiritual Warfare, Tarrying, etc. Something is wrong when we accept the names of performers and entertainers. But we should not be surprised when sitting in the pews expecting to be entertained. Everything is predictable. We need to get back to kingdom work and kingdom building.

It is the annointing that destroys the yolk of bondage. C.O.G.I.C has lost the appreciation (not all) for the annointing (the oil of God). The Clark sisters are annointed, however there are those that are even more annointed, the time of manifestation hasn't come yet. ( example = Ke Ke Sheard ) She has an annointing on her life, not just a talent given by her mother. My prayer is that you wouldn't be so caught up on tradition ( let God move by his spirit ).

The problem is that they need to bring Professor Stevenson back!!! Judy is praise and worship thats why everything sounds like that.. I dont believe she has the heart of the International Choir like that, being that she has only been around for such few years conpared to others!! Case Closed

Trying to understand why we don't see the Clark Sisters on Official Day any more. I understand that they want to give others the opportunity to shine, but some things are getting to be a bit ridiculous. You don't ever push your legends and those who have carried the church for DECADES, to the back of the bus.

@matuber FOR YEARS on top of years, on tops of years we have been listening to CLARK SISTERS! GOD BLESS THEM AND THEY ARE PART OF OUR COGIC HERITAGE BUT THERE ARE OTHER COGIC SINGERS THAT CAN SING TOO. This is the same "memphis mentality" that is tryin to stop our church from growing. @DAZSA I don't know if u are a generational COGIC person or if u joined the ministry w/i the last 10 or 20 years, but COGIC is the church that everyone tries to emulate but they do not always have the talent, so they do what they can. I now hear our choir singing music that the others are singing simply because others did not have the vocals or musicians to do more exciting things. Change is not always good. Look at our country which has constantly embraced change. How is that working?

I have often discouraged people from discussing these things publicly, but I have decided that u will either impact change r allow change 2 happen w/o your voice. @DAZSA Does the bible say this about COGIC or is this your opinion? I am not about to engage you and your all cap agression. I will only reiterate that the Clark Family spent half a century building the Church of God In Christ and they should never take a back seat to any up and coming talent. That is my opinion and I have every right to express it.

I was pleased to see the Convocation move to Memphis, but I do not like the manufactured hand claps in the music amongst other things.

@bphilbac If you feel that you are too critical and opinionated, then perhaps you should scale back. I myself, am being very careful not to become one who is brainwashed into anyone's vision other than the Lord's vision. Our votes and our opinions are just as important as those who feel that they should be able to make decisions without taking a vote. Much of the music, I have enjoyed, but much of the shenanigans I have not enjoyed.
