ha! this is typical of the arrogance of many IT contractors. They always want something for nothing, whilst in my time I have come across many crap recruiters, there are also some very very good ones. Fact is that if you hate them so much, why give them the time of day?! its quite easy to hang up the phone. The main reason is that good recruiters help you to move between contracts and essentially keep you earning a shit load more than you would if you went perm. ungrateful bastards.

I'm a designer and I get this stuff all the time. Everytime I get an email about a job which I asked only to be in London it keeps sending me crap for up north. Then on job ads, I have to know programs that have only been out a year and should have 5 years commercial experience in them that aren't design related. One job even wanted me to have knowledge and experience in the American finance sector. How stupid of me, I should have been told at college I'd have to know about the US stock market!
