  • Thank you for this VDO......Its amazing how fundamentalist of different Faiths....which we all respect, is ready to attack anything that has different view from them...I see this as an education problem....education of hatred, nationalism, prejudice, fundamentalism, closed mindedness....Stop treating the Baha'is badly...and start practising what your religion teaches...show kindness and compassion to humanity even if their belief is different.

  • @yekeshgh

like i said before, i don't have time to respond nor read your hate messages. You're free to track down my friends and tell them lies about me, but won't get any responses from me.

I am here for a sole reason, that is to support my freedom seeking countrymen, not to argue with people like you. :)

  • @Iranian127 You attack and then when a person responds you call it hate messages. I have a right to defend my faith against lies. This video is about lies spread about Baha'is. Your comments clearly is an attack talking about price of our buildings ? We pay for that ourselves. We are not the only religion that has beautiful buildings.

  • @Iranian127 You are the one who attacked me and others for no reason. Please stop your lies and hate. You even made a video about my private messages to you and lied saying I messaged people to remove you. Stop the insanity, it will get you nowhere.

  • @Iranian127 Did we say Baha'is are only group to be persecuted ? Watch the video it is about reasons we get persecuted for last 160 years by Radical Islam. Go ahead and report my comments, nothing here is hate speech. Hate speech is what you sent to Maya about me which she sent to a group of us. I thought you are suposedly new here and I sent you invite & told others you are a nice guy. You created a story that you are being attacked and falsly named me and made a hate video about me.

  • This video is not about demonizing Iran. Any who sees it as such is truly blind !

  • Do you think bahais are the only group who are being prosecuted under the Islamic regime? you put your faith first then your people and country, that is just not right. and whatever former regimes have done to you, its not a reason enough to demonize Iran as a whole, your own country! you claim you want no poverty in the world, yet you build million dollar palaces all over Israel.

  • @Iranian127 What is your point ? This video is about the lies created by Islamists and this videos is correcting the lies. I don't see what you now have a problem with that ! The places built are funded by Baha'is only we take no out side money. We also don't built in every corner so when we do yes we take a lot of pride in our buildings. I recall Farahvar1 said same thing to me, interesting :-)

  • @Iranian127 We have been persecuted for over 160 years in Iran so this video is not about just 31 years. For us Baha'is Iran is very precious because it is the birth place of our faith. We have always served Iran even though we have had no real freedom, never been recognized because the constitution has always been Islamic.

  • @Iranian127 all religions build beautiful places of worship and they fund it with public money, ours come from our own pockets ONLY. Also we build one temple in a country not in every corner so what we build we make beautiful. Now you have a problem with beautiful buildings. Dude go focus on real issues !

  • i dont understand why people (islamic governments) hate the baha'is

they are so peaceful and they harm nobody :(

  • This information is very useful, thank you.

The Bahai's have never had full rights under any regime in Iran. The persecution of our Bahai brothers and sisters must end.

    Peace, Love & Light ♥

  • But all of your arguments against the Baha'i faith aside, what does it have at all to do with whether or not it is justifiable to persecute Baha'is?

There is nothing in Baha'i law saying that we should persecute homosexual persons, in fact it says the exact opposite.

  • The mechanism that leads to persecuting Baha'is is identical to what leads to persecuting homosexuals: beliefs held and acted upon unsupported by evidence or in spite of contrary evidence.

The Bahai Faith has declared homosexuality and therefore homosexuals "Immoral", "spiritually condemned", "not permissible",

"A distortion of ones nature", "an aberration", "a handicap".

No, it does not urge beating gays with a lead pipe; it just condemns their very essence. Not enough persecution for you?

  • This is a wonderful twist of words.

No, it does not say that they as people are aberrations, it says that their biological disposition is.

No it does not say that homosexual people aren't permissible, it says that Baha'is indulging homosexual urges is not permissible.

And no, it doesn't condemn their very essence, it condemns indulging urges to have sex with things that they are not sexually compatible with.

  • What you are doing is not protesting persecution, you are equating having a *belief* that is different than yours with persecution.

What will you say next, that we are "persecuting" people who have premarital sex because we say that's wrong too?

And you to compare a group of people believing something is wrong with another group of people who kill others for their beliefs. That is incredibly crass.

  • @fctchk

    that's simply a lie

The Bahai Faith has not declared homosexuals "Immoral", "spiritually condemned", "not permissible". Put your facts straight.

  • The terms in quotation marks: "Immoral", "spiritually condemned", "not permissible", "A distortion of ones nature", "an aberration", "a handicap were copied directly from the official Bahai website a year ago when I posted my original comment.

Now, in an effort to provide you the link I find that the website has been redesigned and the quotes can no longer be found.

Perhaps they found that wearing their bronze age bigotry on their sleeve made for bad PR.

    Baha'i Teachings on Homosexual Practices

    by Universal House of Justice

    Published in American Baha'i

    1995-11-23

"As you know, the Bahá'í Faith strongly condemns all blatant acts of immorality, and it includes among them the expression of sexual love between individuals of the same sex. With regard to homosexual practices, Bahá'u'lláh, in the Kitab-i-Aqdas, forbids paederasty and sodomy."

  • Comment removed

  • @1ged53 Read in the kitab-i-aqdas page 157, xviii, under prohibitations, it says that homosexuality is to be prohibited however it in no way states that they are "immoral," or "spiritually condemmed," however we do believe that it is "not permissible" and that it is wrong, however we believe that they should in no way be shunned or outcasted, I mean once again "he who is without sin cast the first stone."

  • Being subject to all this persecution you would expect Baha'is to know better than to discriminate against gays and lesbians and declare homosexuality an "Immorality"; "spiritually condemned in the writings of Baha'u'llah;" "not a permissible way of life;"

"A distortion of his or her nature which should be controlled and overcome;" An "aberration subject to treatment;" and, "If the individual fails to rectify his conduct in spite of repeated warnings, have sanctions imposed on him/her".

  • Non-Baha'is are able to be homosexual.

Baha'is are people who have agreed to abide by Baha'i law.

It's not persecution, it's a choice. If you believe the laws are divine, you follow them. If you don't, then you are not entitled to call yourself a follower of them.

  • 'Abdu'l-Baha: "When religion, shorn of its superstitions, traditions, and unintelligent dogmas, shows its conformity with science, then will there be a great unifying, cleansing force in the world which will sweep before it all wars, disagreements, discords and struggles-"

So, start shearing. Science has shown that sexuality is not something an individual chooses. Nor is it an absolute, it is a continuum. Moreover, homosexuality can be observed in over 400 species of animals.

  • Certainly the disposition is not a choice. But the decision to act upon it is.

And if you were to read the works of Shoghi Effendi you would know it has already been established in Baha'i canon that the condition of homosexuality is not a choice.

  • Mr. Effendi, taught that "(1)through the advice and help of doctors, through a strong and determined effort, and (2) through prayer, a soul can overcome this(3) handicap."

Wherewith he assumes the following, either not in evidence or against evidence:(1) Homosexuality as a changeable condition or as a disease in need of a cure dismissed by science.(2) Prayer as being effective science has found no evidence for the efficacy of prayer.

  • (3) Homosexuality as a handicap the only handicap is that imposed by religiously inspired bigots who believe their superstitions, traditions, and unintelligent dogmas gives them the right to stand in judgment and proscribe the life of a group of humans not to mention over 400 species of other animals.

  • Hundreds of species of animals have dispositions towards coprophagia as well, but I would certainly think you'd be hard pressed to argue that to be a natural or healthy condition in that instance either.

As for the handicap, it is scientifically apparent that we cannot reproduce with individuals of the same gender, and a genetic condition that would make a person incompatible sexually with their own species is in fact a handicap.

  • For hundreds of species of animals consuming feces is not only natural or healthy it is in fact critical to their survival. For example, young elephants whose intestines are sterile at birth eat the feces of their mother to obtain bacteria required to digest vegetation.

Telling, however, how PeterJDeer caught in the headlights of religious bigotry, arrives at equating homosexuality with the eating of excrement.

A species has yet to become extinct due the homosexuality of its members.

  • I think that coprophagia is a perfectly applicable comparison! It is something practiced between consenting adults, something that (as you have just demonstrated) one could argue is good and healthy, and one that holds a strong stigma against it in our culture.

Are you saying that there is something wrong with persons with that fetish as opposed to persons of a homosexual disposition? Do tell me the chemical or brain difference between homosexuality and coprophelia.

  • Mr. Effendi, taught that "(1)through the advice and help of doctors, through a strong and determined effort, and (2) through prayer, a soul can overcome this(3) handicap."

Wherewith he assumes the following, either not in evidence or against evidence:(1) Homosexuality as a changeable condition or as a disease in need of a cure - dismissed by science.(2) Prayer as being effective - science has found no evidence for the efficacy of prayer.

  • (3) Homosexuality as a handicap - the only handicap is that imposed by religiously inspired bigots who believe their 'superstitions', 'traditions', and 'unintelligent dogmas' gives them the right to stand in judgment and proscribe the life of a group of humans not to mention over 400 species of other animals.

  • We are one human race and by voicing and exposing this

videos and this kind of opinions we can tell the world that we

can be seen as our deeds not just in words that we are truly

sincere and that Baha'u'llah teaches that all NATIONS SHOULD HAVE ONLY ONE FAITH AND ALL MEN SHOULD BE REGARDED AS BROTHERS AND DIVERSITY OF RELIGIONS SHOULD DISAPPEAR AND ALL THE RACES SHOULD BE ONE.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT? PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD. THANKS.

  • It is important for everyone to know that the Baha'i Faith is an independent world religion in the same way that Judaism and Christianity are independent from each other, although in spirit we are not separate from each other. The Manifestations are different from age to age - Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammed, the Bab and Baha'u'llah - but we all stem from the same Tree of Life. We all derive our Light from the same God. It is the same Eternal Covenant in which we all share. We are one in Spirit.
