@tracemaster100 They aren't a bad omen any more than any other cloud. They're caused by ice clouds tens of miles high in the sky which scatters the Sun's light, thus forming these odd shapes. Perfectly natural, although breathtakingly beautiful

Thanks for the video. Can you explain to us in which conditions those hallos became visible? Nomenclature can be any, as you know. If it was aerosols I assume I would see them all year round, as it is it's definitely ice crystals, since it's only during winter.

Even with an atmosphere "FILLED" with chemicals, you are not likely to ever have a view like this. Different ice crystal shapes cause the different types of halos and arcs, and it's incredibly rare to have so many multiple types in the air at once, let alone a smattering of random chemicals that exactly reproduce every effect possible. No conspiracy here. Sorry buddy.

Droplets in clouds are in an equilibrium of evaporation and condensation. When air is humid, the water drpplet or ice crystal provides a source for the water vapor in the air to condense. If there is enough water vapor, it can substitute for the evaporative loss. Cirrostratus have been recorded before planes

That is because the majority of the planes are flying at that level, and it is humid enough to allow cirrostratus clouds, so it allows contrails to persist. Even then, some planes leave shortlived contrails, yet they are flying at different levels. This shows a strong relation of persistance to weather clouds

Large fires typically make clouds above them. Cooling towers almost always have a 'contrail' coming out of them. However, the air is so warm around them they rarely persist. If you move cooling towers to a cirrostratus, they'd persist.
