@elmostro561 only if you want more than 500bhp...and realistically, it is ALOT of money to swap. just the v160 tranny to handle the power past 450whp costs about $4000...and then the motor costs another $2500...then the misc turbo bits and you're looking at $20,000 in that hood. not to mention the axels, the rear end and the brakes needed to slow down.... point being anything less than 500bhp you are better off with the W58 is300 5speed tranny and boosting it with a head gasket.
Sorry guys, I have had trouble with posting on my account. Just to answer a few questions for you guys, I am not running any other type of fuel or mixture. I only used 93 Octane and nothing else. Exhaust is completely custom. The Turbo is a Billet PT71 Dual BB Oil/Water. No GS rear. Yes that is Lance tunning. I wouldn't use any one else.
hey there nicely done my friend i am very envious please send me the tuners name and shop who tuned what city he is in and what turbo and engine managment you are using. i have had endless trouble with my AEM 1050 box i am only making 500whp on E85 and i have crazy ignition cut its so frustrating! please get back to me
also if you have some images of the motor compartment i would love to see it
Damn!!!!!!!! nice as hell what engine u running a built 2jzge vvti or the 2jzgte vvti and what tranny the w154 or the v160 im thinking about doing the same thing to my lex but i dont know if i should just build my motor or swap in te 2jzgte vvti i think fully built they are both capable of great numbers.......... but other then that nice job man would love to see it on the street must be killing evrything in sight :P
@modistrator wow, so im assuming this ge has GTE internals? Also if am looking at 415whp max HP and have to keep my 2jz-ge motor what else other than a HG and head studs would i need? People do say thats all i need (as far as the motor goes) but its always good to get another opinion. Obviously the more the engine is built the stronger it is but which is better gte internals or placing a gte bottom end? And will i need either for a 400whp goal?
